Sorry to hear that, squirrellypoo. :( I hope your treatment goes well/quickly and you don't have to deal with a month of it.

The Christmas presents is a total drag. :( If it were just an Amazon order, I'm guessing it wouldn't be so bad, but (presumably) there was thought and care put into your package, which obviously someone didn't respect somewhere along the line. That stinks big time.

So sorry to hear about your presents. I would probably be sad rather than angry as well. It sounds like people just not paying attention to their job.

I hope your treatment doesn't have to be the full month route.

Thanks for the sympathy guys. As soon as I typed the other post I got an email from one of my blog readers offering me a book she received two of so that was really nice timing and revived my estimation of humanity a little bit.

Oh and these daily ivs have been going on since mid September. So it's way way longer than a month already. :( I'm just afraid they'll say the lung stuff needs something worse than a one hour iv, like a four hour one or even inpatient, which I just can't bear the thought of after already having 8 horrible weeks inside already.

Squirrelly, you really are having rotten luck. I know if I got a package like that I'd sit down and cry, especially on top of all the other stuff you've got going on. Hope things look up soon.

So sorry to hear about the news SP, especially at this time of the year, and then with the parcel issue on top of it just sucks :( Hopefully they can sort out exactly what's up with your lungs and get it treated, and that most of your package is retreivable at some point *hugs*

I know this isn't an illness or anything worse, but I just found out I didn't get the job I interviewed for 3 weeks ago. The interview went sooo well and I need a good job sooo badly that this is far more than an IA. It's just the effing icing on the cake for a truly, truly awful year for me. :(
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Awww, SP.  :\\\'( I just teared up reading your post. You have had such a hard time this year. I really, honestly hope next year is better for you. I really do. I'm so sorry that your health has been such a nightmare to deal with, and that one of the few things you had to look forward to (your parcel from home) was ruined, too.  :\\\'( Let me know if there is anything I can send you, and I would be happy to do it. (((HUGS)))

Sorry for you, too, Balmerhon. I'm sure a better job is waiting for you and I just hope you find it soon! Hope next year is better for you and your family.

What sort of books do you like, SP?  :)

Oh the one she's sending me is a sewing book I liked the look of but didn't think to put on my Christmas list - Twinkle Sews. I usually tend to read historical fiction as a broad genre if it's not one of the few authors like Iain Banks that I latch on to and read everything from!

News yesterday - they've decided the lung biopsy hasn't grown anything and isn't going to so they've labelled it as "inconclusive". Two weeks of agonising pain, three giant scars, and a trip to A&E for nothing. Absolutely nothing.

And I got my next CT scan date - 12 Jan. So my daily IVs have to continue until at least a week after that when the results come back. If the lesions are gone, I can stop and go back to work and remove the PICC line in my arm and start running again. If there's even one left, I've got to carry on for at least another month til another CT scan. Guess which result I'm hoping for? Next week I get to try to convince the Drs to leave me alone on Christmas Day. Fun.

At least two lovely neighbours popped in today - they'd each been in Holland recently and brought me two different issues of my favourite Dutch sewing pattern magazine (this makes me v happy!).

Glad there was at least one thing to make you happy, SP!

My cousin sent a photo attachment yesterday of a family reunion we'd had over 10 years ago -- and there was my dear beautiful Emily right in the front with my mum standing behind her. Both now gone.  :\\\'(

A sudden break up that has left me absolutely shattered. He wanted to at least remain friends; I couldn't do it. I'll also probably run into him tonight because of a birthday party hosted by his housemate at their house. I don't know how or if I can handle tonight.
