Aw, my in laws are lovely! Mainly because they live quite far away! But really, they are lovely people. No complaints from me.

How did you guess?  ;)

OK. It's mostly my MIL (to be). The FIL is OK. But she... ugh ...she sits and smokes nonstop and never leaves the house and does everything at a snail's pace and is as thick as a plank and is completely selfish and acts like a child and I just want to smack her!

Whew! I do feel better! See!

Mine aren't even ILs yet and BF's mother has issues with me (just read my posts in the past!)

Was supposed to go to their house for J's birthday dinner tonight and she phoned up J and didn't want me there  :(
Not to mention other drama of the weekend

Wow, your FMIL has a huge problem with boundries if she thinks it's a-ok to say that to her son. I hope he told her to stuff it.
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

Guys, this is a venting thread about in-laws... telling how 'great' your inlaws are isn't really helping the OP.

Well, I like to vent about how nice my in laws are, sometimes I rant about their loveliness also...its all a state of mind! Glass half empty vs half full.

lol.

Does that mean Inconvenient Annoyances? No, I lead a pretty bloody great charmed life (except for the last few crappy weeks) and I don't want to make everyone else jealous with te lack of annoyances in my life! :D
