It is really easy to use and really good, it seems much more accurate than my wii-fit.

I'm all about the high protein breakfasts, especially now ;) I'm a big advocate of turkey bacon, just like oprah!

I don't use my Wii Fit as much as I used to cause the weight portion of it isn't always accurate most days not even close  ::)  :P  an that was really annoying me so much so that Dh threaten to sell my Wii Fit if I didn't stop getting in a mood after I got off it cause we both know its not correct!!

Did you know that Oprah had David Zinczenko on her show last year he does the Eat This Not That books & he is the editor of Men's Health magazine he said that Turkey bacon isn't better than real bacon because of the amount of sodium in it is seriously high so real bacon is better to have instead when Oprah found that out she Wasn't A HAPPY BUNNY at all!!  >:(  ::)

I didn't start my diet last week like I had planned it was 1 thing after another going wrong so I started my diet today an went to the gym as well the first time in nearly 2 months. :o :o  I know in the morning I'm going to be so tired & sore but I have got to get back on the horse an get back to my routine like I had before our vacation in mid Nov.  ;)  :)

Even tho I had my bypass...it's not the "fix" that everyone thinks it is...it's a tool to help with weight management and I ain't using it right....sigh...and it's now been 4 years since I had my bypass...gosh I wish I could go back to the very beginning when I couldn't eat as much as I do now....I'm scared of putting ALL that weight back on... :\\\'(

I've put a stone back on over the last year and boy can I tell it!! Even after having the tummy tuck and the boobs done you would think that would be an incentive to keep the weight off! But sadly no seems my body likes being at 11 stone while my mind likes being down closer to 10 stone...

any ways I am trying to get this weight off before we go away on holiday on the 28th of Feb...

so I have just been looking around the shops at alternative forms of protein that are not high in fat.... and I bought some Quorn chicken nuggets....and will see how these work!

On top of it all with the low iron problem it just makes me really tired and when I get home all I want to do is sit.... :( when I should be up and walking on the treadmill and cleaning house.... :-\\\\

You might want to try quinoa: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quinoa. It's tasty, quick, and high in protein.  I like it because I can mix it with things as I would pasta or couscous but I get the longer effects of something with much more protein. I've been eating tuna, quinoa, and sweetcorn lately for lunch and it keeps me going for hours and hours (I usually eat at around 1pm and don't have time to eat again until around 7 or 8!). I used to eat the tuna and sweetcorn with bread or crackers, but I've noticed that the quinoa really keeps me going better.
Good luck! I'm trying to lose about a stone as well.

Hi Jennie

I tried quinoa a couple of years ago and it didn't set well with my pouch. I can eat couscous ok but something about quinoa doesn't set well.

I have to be careful about eating rice and spaghetti as well..as it can still swell in my pouch...

The chicken nuggets were rathy tasty...each nugget has 31 calories...2 grams of protein and has 0.3grms of fat...so works out pretty good....

Everyone warns me of this :/ Sorry you're going through it, although you're still very thin :)
Have you heard of that 5 day pouch test thing? A lot of people who get bounce back weight say it works really well as a detox to get you back on track.

I've been using a few quorn products as well, they're light in fat and calories but high in protein, also  do edamame as a snack and 0% fat greek yoghurt, it's SO hard getting all that protein in at the moment.

I have thought about the pouch test thing....but not started researching it ...

I can't eat many yohurty things as my pouch won't tolerate most kinds....

I  have done really well on the sparkspeople thing today..have only used 759 calories and have ate loads...even a bag of low calorie popcorn....M&S

I restarted my weight loss quest yesterday.  I've got a really bad cold so I won't be exercising (aside from the 4 miles I walk everyday) just yet.

I've done a meal plan for the first time ever and did my grocery shopping accordingly.  I bought a few healthy snacks and a VERY small number of junk-ish type food for DH and DD lunches.  It sounds so silly but I'm kind of nervous because I've never bought just enough food for meals (even though we do have "extras" in the cupboards and freezer).

I've started tracking my calories and I must eat a lot less than I thought.  I was struggling to hit 1,000 calories yesterday...and that included 2 extra snacks when I wasn't even hungry.  I think it might be because I up'd my water intake again (which makes me feel really full).

I'm really disappointed in myself from yesterday. I had a binge! I ate 6 chocolate covered Cadbury biscuits in like 5 minutes.  :-[ I don't know what happens, I'm ok as long as I avoid them, but if I give in and have 1, I want to eat like 50 right after that.  :-X Then I came home and decided to make burgers (they were pretty healthy, to be fair) and had some oven chips (probably wasn't the best idea) and then a big glass of wine. Not too great. But, I think the problem with the biscuits was mainly that I was starving yesterday afternoon. I took a small cucumber sandwich and a big container of miso soup to work, but since the soup was like a broth kind, I felt like I hadn't really eaten much, if that makes sense. Anyway, I'm trying to think of that as the second cheat day in a month (It's the 13th today, and I've been in my calorie range of 1200 - 1400 calories per day every day besides one other day) and stay on track.

I dont think you should be so hard on yourself you need a cheat day in my opinion so 2 cheat days in nearly 2 weeks I think is ok.  ;)  :) I wouldnt have made it through the past years diet without a cheat day I would have seriously binged big time if I had not one!!  ;) :)

I definitely wouldn't be too hard on yourself.    I had a little binge like that too - last night I came home after going out to dinner (PE, and did the Leggara pizzas, which are actually a lot of points now on the revised WW plan), and then came home and had three biscuits and a couple of Quality Street chocolates.   But anyway, I feel like as long as you don't "cheat" every single day, your body will level it out.

You definitely need to eat more at lunch!  I know for myself, as long as I make lunch my bigger meal of the day, I can general manage to keep dinner moderate and control any snack cravings I have when I get home.

I have been doing very well since I started eating healthier and going back to the gym. I have cut out sugar and only use 0 calorie sweeteners, switched white bread to whole grain (I can't give up my carbs!) and have been using smaller portions along with some other changes in my life. The hardest part for me is not snacking so I do have snacks but they are just healthier ones now. Fruit, ryvitas, and non-fat yogurts instead of sweets, crisps, and biscuits. I actually got rid of a lot of the junk food in the house.  :o I have lost 4lbs in the last week and a half! I just hope I CAN KEEP IT UP (or off!)  ;)

The past week has been difficult for me too. I was supposed to arrive back in the UK on Tuesday at 7am/Get to Notts for a 1pm meeting.  But 3 flight cancellations, a 6 hour drive to CLT airport, an overnight hotel stay, 3 problems with planes (two that needed extended repairs), two times de-boarding the planes, and then a 3 hour delay while the plane was repaired meant that I haven't arrived into the UK until Thursday afternoon.

Having been ''in limbo'' for what seemed like a long time, I do not want to even think about all of the food I have put into my body (ie: two full days of restaurant food).  I did try to stick to ''healthier'' options, like having french onion soup from panera, and the buffalitos (chicken tacos) from buffalo wild wings...but I'm 100% sure the Pineapple Chicken at the airport wasn't a great choice..

Also, after going so religiously for a two week period while visiting my parents, and not having been since Sunday, sort of ruins my ''habit'' of going.  And to make matters worse, DB's mum had to be hospitalized and have surgery on wednesday, so I'm with them now, helping to take care of the house/look after DB's 10 year old brother. We won't be back into Notts until Sunday night, so I could try to hit the gym then, but I still have to unpack all my things...  I hate when travel messes up your entire schedule/plans :(  I always find getting back into routines difficult.  Wish me luck!  :-\\\\

Awww PickledSakura ;-/ so sorry to hear so much going on! You are in need of unwinding and unpacking BIG time...Get your groove back.

shugga...man I hope you are feeling better soon *crossing fingers*

I bought the biggest loser US Wii game tonight and all I can say is sweet geez! I didn't do toooo bad I only made it 23 minute thru the challenge to see what level you should work out at. I am happy to say it was at the "challenge" stage so I am not such a couch potato.
I also lost 2 lbs so that is 5 lbs down this year - just 20ish to do and then I will be happy.
I dont want to be a stick but I do want to be what I was in 2009 before DH and England ;-)

Plus the sooner I get my weight down and where I want to be then we can kick up the kid making agenda.  I just want to be down a bit before getting preggo so it wont be twice as hard. Start healthy and stay healthy is my motto
