Hi - well I have included Payslips and bills, my bank details, things like that. They are just under diff categories. I kept all the bills under Accomodation and payslips under employment. I do have a bank account in UK, but I never recieved any statements to this day, maybe that's because theres no money in the account.

I have 3 documents regarding my bank account. They are just letters from when my account was opened up and 2 other letters regarding some money I deposited 3-4 months ago. But the moneys no longer there, my account is empty.

I want to make sure I got this right...

I'm definetly using a Courier for my Application, (Global VIP Services - Nadereh :), so basically I will be sending everything to her in California by Fed-Ex, then she will recieve it and send it off to the Consulate?

If this is correct, then anyone know how much it costs to Fed-Ex a same day or overnight delivery? Also, is this whole process safe? I'm sure it is, but when sending so many valuable documents, you can't help but want to be certain!  :)

Thanks for any feedback x

Can anyone get back to me whether this is ok? I know no one can say it will be 100% fine, but from what I have provided, I got some finances right?

Half decent? Alittle? Or down right too little?

I'm obviously not an immigration expert, since I'm struggling with this myself, but it seems to me that you've collected all of the documents regarding finances that you can possibly have given your situation.

I think this is the best you can do. If your budget shows that you have the required maintenance amount left over, all you can do is hope that the other docs you've provided in lieu of bank account statements will be enough. The only question is whether the person approving your visa application will think it's enough - and that no one knows. But you have everything you can possibly have, so, like I said, it's the very best you can do.

Are you using an expediter? At least that way you won't be in suspense too long.

If you are using FedEx for your postal needs what you need to do is take your package to Fed Ex and they will put it on a scale to weigh it and tell you how much it is to send it. They also have a service where they give your package it's own individual ID number and you will be able to track it and get a confirmation when it is delivered.
As to Fed Ex's reliability you would need to go to them directly and address them with your concerns.

Hi... I would really like some input on an email I recieved from Global Visa Services. I sent the Agent a list of my documents as she requested and this is the email I got back:

Hi ****,

Prior to going over your list of contents, I need to advise you that if you overstayed your visa in UK by 4 years the Consulate will probably deny your visa, unless your attorney has cleared the immigration matter.  I will insert comments on the list you have provided anyway, but I remain concerned about you getting a spousal visa.

Your list:

Application   - Declaration page signed
Our Passports - Original and a copy of biographical page
Our Birth Cert's - Original and copies
My Passport Size Photo
Sponsor Letter of Intent - Original, signed, addressed to the Consulate, provide contact phone #
My Letter of Intent Original, signed, addressed to the Consulate, provide contact phone #
Relationship/Marriage:
Marriage Cert - Original and a copy
Wedding Invitation Card
Rings Reciepts
Dinner Menu
Emails
10-15 Pic's (B4 & After Marriage)
Accomodation:
Tenancy Agreements (2)
Landlord Letter
Rent Reciepts
All other Apartment Related Papers
Letters addressed to me & him
My Bank Account Letters
Bills
Employment:
Letter from Employer Original, signed, on company letter head
Letter from Accountant Original and signed
Payslips (atleast 3) Originals
Letter from Previous Job
P45 from Previous Job
Other:
Overstay Apology Letter
Refusal Notice Papers from LHR - Copy
Budget showing 105.95 left/wk
Life in the Uk Test Cert.
Provisional Driving License
NHS Medical Card
CV
Jobs/Colleges I am interested in

Other Items to include:

Monthly budget

In the absence of original bank statements, you will need to provide other means of financial evidence, such as your parents or his parents writing to say they will support your financially if you ever need it, sign the letter with their address and phone number.  They also need to include their original most recent bank statement (savings account) as evidence of having funds.

Character references, by friends, colleagues and family.  Signed letter to the Consulate to indicate that you are responsible, law abiding person and that your overstay in UK was due to "whatever the reason was"

Thank you,
**** ****

The reason why I am confused about this email is because she wrote my visa will probably be denied due to overstay... this is not the case for Spouse Visa Applicants, unless deception/or illegal entry was used, which was not in my case or intentions. Am I right?

Also, she states I should provide a letter stating third party financial support is available to me and my husband if ever needed - I thought 3rd party financial support was not allowed. I know she is asking me to provide a letter IN CASE, but if it's not allowed anymore, then what's the point of the letter in my thinking right?

I have done all my research on these 2 things, so that's why I am confused as to why the agent has responded saying these things. I would appreciate anyone who can clarify me on these 2 things...

Thank you x

Other people on this forum have had issues with this particular individual overstepping her bounds and giving unsolicited advice where she is not qualified to do so.  Ignore her.  Her job is to submit your application - nothing else.  If you are confident about your supporting documentation, then tell her to submit your documents without any further advice or changes.

Incidentally, the advice she has given you re: financial support from family and/or friends is incorrect and outdated.

Garry has been collating recent accounts of expeditors known to be giving unsolicited immigration advice - you may wish to PM him to alert him to this thread.

Thanks for the replys!

Yes I am using an expediter, and no I have not attended my bio yet. I have a date picked up but need to wait on my husband sending me some last documents so everything is sent on time after biometrics.

My husband earns about 1300/Monthly - he pays:

500/Rent
100/Water and Electric together
100/Tax

No other payments or loans, anything like that. This leaves him with 600 leftover. Which means 150 left over each week.

Will this be ok?

Thank you so much for the reply. I knew something was weird about that email reply from her. I'm glad I posted it up.

I will PM Garry. And I don't think I will use *****, I need someone I can trust and be 100% comfortable with.

Yeah, that's plenty of money. I wouldn't worry about it - the only thing tricky about your finances is providing proof since he doesn't have a bank account and hasn't been at his job too long. But I imagine (don't quote me on this) that they can't require you to have a bank account, so it *probably* won't be a problem. But none of us can know for sure.

Many thanks, Meg.

First things first.  Character refs are required for nationality and that's that.  The notion that character references can be useful for entry clearance within the family formation programme is absurd.  I would have laughed in her face, it's the only right thing to do.

Overstay.  We have been through this before.   >:(  How many times?  I'm surprised more people didn't pick up on this immediately.  And just how does an attorney "clear the matter"?  Talk to god?

Finances.  Yes, it does not take rocket science to see that the application is vulnerable to refusal on finances.  The courier has suggested a co-sponsor.  It's a workable strategy given that finances *can* be a show-stopper.

So in this particular email, the courier is batting 1 out of 3.  Not the world's best I would venture to say.  Character references.  What a hoot.

Moving right along...

NHS card.   ::)  So as to better rub their noses in the fact that our country's health services were abused?  That should get them on your side.  NOT.   Lose it.  A dinner menu   ::)  To prove what?  A balanced diet?  Expertise in Photoshop?  Lose it.

Anyway.  Thanks for the heads-up, Meg.  This one's booked...

Ok thank you for the reply.

I asked the Consulate who said it's not a must to have a bank account, but my husband needs to make sure he can prove his income in this case.

I think I got that down pretty good - fingers crossed all will be fine...
