I am not an expert, but I had some thoughts.

I sent my CV with my app, so that I could show my employment history and job skills. I also included my sponsor's (my husband) CV.

For savings, is there any chance your husband forgot about an old 401K account? Even if it's only a few dollars, it might show a little cushion.

I'm sorry for your troubles, and I hope it works out soon.
Sometimes I amaze even myself.

Ok, I've got my Biometrics appt today!
We will be sending out documentation asap afterwards. I have a quick question about proof of residency when we get there. My SIL is renting a house in Sale to us and we have a letter stating as such, but is it also necessary to have her provide any kind of documentation that she owns the home or has the right to rent it to us? Thanks

CONGRATS KA2!!  I just got mine today!!  ;D

I live a few blocks away from the consulate in NYC, so I probably shouldn't have bothered to expedite, but I was worried it would take longer than it did.

Sept. 2003 - we met!
July 1, 2010 - we got engaged!
July 30 - married my UK sweetheart after 3 years long distance!
Sept 1 - applied online
Sept 6 - took biometrics and sent off overnight with expedited service
Sept 7 - rec'd email confirming receipt of visa materials
Sept 9 - rec'd my stuff back w/ entry clearance visa!!!

This was great, I was so worried about it!

Thanks UK-Yankee, you guys are awesome!  Definitely couldn't have done this without this amazing forum!

My timeline so far....

Sept 4th - Online application for my children and I
Sept 7th - Paid for priority service, biometrics appointment in Philadelphia, and mailed package USPS Express to be received by 3pm the next day.
Sept 8th - Email stating application has been received and is processing (3:28pm EST)

And now I wait. It's going to be a long weekend. With many of the recent fast results, I am hoping to hear something Monday or Tuesday. However, I'm driving myself crazy. I know accommodation and relationship can't be questioned. I was confident about the financial with me having a job confirmed and us having £400+ extra each month at least. But now I fear having three kids (sole custody, previous marriage) will have them be overly cautious and refuse us. Ugh. Come on, Monday!
married my love: August, 12, 2011
received passport with changed surname: September 1
online application: September 4

I have my biometrics on Tuesday.  I didn't get our marriage certificate until today (2 weeks exactly) and I'm a but gutted that I wasn't able to get a Monday appointment.  Luckily it seems like things are moving quickly though so I guess a day won't make a huge difference!

Does anyone know any processing times for non-priority settlement.

I applied August 24th from canada (but the applications get processed in the NY) and still have not had an email saying they have started to work on it which is stresful.

Only got an email saying they are prepping hte docs for entry clearance review and they have opened my package.

the website says the majority of applications are cleared in 8 working days....it's been 5. Getting really worried!

Any help out there?
