I also received an email today telling me that my visa has been issued.  It was a busy day for the UKBA in NYC!

My thoughts are with everyone still waiting to hear back and those that will apply in the future!

Same here; I check back in and everyone's approved!  Congratulations all around!  :D  That's so awesome.  NYC must've had a busy time there, haha.

It has been going quickly recently. But I'm a worry wart and even though I knew I wouldn't be traveling until May, I thought I'd purchase it just so I wouldn't be a moody magpie and give myself ulcers.

That's exactly why I did it, too.  You know you're obsessive-compulsive when that extra peace of mind is worth $300.  ;)

I'm new here, so I'm stopping by to say hello and to mention I'm on business day 15 of waiting for my settlement visa (spouse). I really hope that I hear from NY today, even if it's an e-mail stating that they need more time to process my visa. I'm trying to stay positive, and I've seen that quite a few on here have been approved very recently! Congrats!

I'm doing my best to stay positive. Also, usually how long (on average let's say) does it take to be approved after the "15 more business days" email? Yesterday was business day 15.

Mrs_T_M, did you use priority processing?

No, I couldn't afford the extra fee for the priority processing. I knew that it would take longer than most due to my entry clearance denial last June and denied visitors visa last September. Both of those were due to insufficient ties to the US and money issues. I've taken care of both of those things though. Settlement visa + I've been offered a job so long as I get permission to work with my visa. Job pays £16,000 pa on top of my husbands £18,200 pa job. I'm only working part time right now, ~2-4 hours per week, so I needed to keep what I could for my plane ticket. The solicitors that we used for help in the UK have said that we have provided more than enough evidence of meeting all of the requirements.
