Congrats to those of you who have received your visas recently! I am anxiously waiting, I won't be surprised if it's another two weeks for me. Monday is day 30, so I know I have more wait time coming. IT's very difficult for me, my husband and I have known eachother for 2.5 years, and in total, I think we have spent 5 weeks together in person strung out over the months. We're used to waiting between seeing eachother, but not being able to control when we will see eachother again is becoming unbearable. For all of you out there still waiting, please please *please!* post your approvals as soon as you have them, so I can better guess when to look out for mine! I wish all of you best of luck in your new lives :)

Hi MLS,

I am on day 41 of processing NY Consulate!! Your on Day 30: The wait should be more than half-way over now! What consulate did you apply to?

"Keep positive, everything is up to date and we will have our visas early this week!"

Is this wishful thinking or do we know that they are up to date??? we're still waiting despite being told last wednesday by the lady that called john for info to sit tight, it won;t be long! He too is carless and staying with friends in the back of beyond!!

I hope so too Nickiboo17!!! While I am VERY happy for the people who used priority it is getting frustrating for me to see such speedy turn around times while we languish at day 38! It is a slow torture and every day I think up new reasons they might deny me! Lol! I swear I wasn't paranoid before this began! ;)
Patiently waiting for visas!

If your confirmation emails said 50 business days then I'd be looking for it this week or next...they are pretty good when it comes to sticking with their estimates.

Good luck to all those waiting, shouldn't be much longer  :)

I found this forum the other night.  Pleased to be part of the bunch!  Applied for spouse visa with the NYC Consulate July 29.  Have not heard anything yet.  My husband is already in UK.  We have a daughter, who is 2 -- we applied for Certificate of Entitlement, Right of Abode for her (Her app is with mine).  For those of you with dependents, did you do the same?

And yes, I found out about Priority Service after the fact as well.  What a bummer.

Good luck to all and any info re: dependents would be greatly appreciated.

If your daughter is your husbands child you should have applied for a British Passport for your daughter. Which is probably why you've not heard anything as of yet. Don't be surprised that the ROA will come back refused and you'll be required to get her passport instead.

MrsColgan, I am going through the same set of emotions!  I do hope we hear something this week.  It is a slow torture. I want to get on with my life and not live in a limbo!!

My email from the NY consulate did not give me a processing time for settlement visas, only for all other visas.  Whatever that means.

Jlstorer, I received an email from the NY consulate on July 29th. I havent heard anything yet either so you are not alone! What consulate did you apply to?
