update.

Priority Service to NY consulate. (way over 48hours processing)

Sent Documents UPS: Monday July 26, 2010
UPS Tracker Arrived: Tuesday 10:14am, July 27, 2010
E-Mail confirmation: Wednesday 2:30pm, July 28, 2010
Re-sent proof of funds: August 4, 2010.
Email issuing Student Visa: August 11, 2010 (11:12am)
Visa/Passport Delivered: August 12, 2010 (9:35am)

If anyone has any questions let me know.

*The bad news is instead of leaving month early, due to private loans not being disbursed until the 27th of sept, i have to wait a whole extra month + and find living and get situated with in few days :(

happy i got visa though.

Congrats Syntax!!! Very exciting! Can't wait to have the same feeling of relief!

They said 98% in ten days.  ??? But I'm hoping it's just a tad slow because of the busy time of year.

Just got the email- VISA APPROVED!!!  It's supposed to arrive by UPS today, but I'm guessing tomorrow or Wednesday.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

YEA! Got my tier 4 student visa in hand today! Here was my timetable for LA consulate (priority):

8/4 Sent in overnight to LA
8/9 Confirmation Email saying it was opened and being processed
8/17 Email saying it was approved
8/18 Received via UPS!!!!!

I am so pumped!!!

Congrats! I can't believe they're so backlogged that it took you 14 days WITH priority.  I'm happy I ended up taking your advice about flying to LA today to do a premium appointment (that even took forever, in my opinion-- a six hour wait to get a little piece of paper pasted into my passport).  So I also have my visa in hand today.  Yippee! Off to Dublin tomorrow!

Oh WOW! Well congrats! I am happy it worked out for you! Very stressful! But with all of the stress and worry, I opened my return package to find that my official transcript was never opened. I had it mailed with an official seal from my undergrad university as support for my CAS, and they never even opened it! I know I shouldn't complain, as I did get my visa. But frustrating that they don't seem to be as strict themselves, as they ask us to be.

Anyway, good luck in Dublin and congrats again!!
