I wish I could hit the fast forward button and just cut to the final 3 or so...some of these singers are so boring.

Any predictions for the final 3?
I bet we'll see One Direction, Cher, and Matt Cardle as the final 3...not that I agree with that 100%, I just think that's the way the cookie's gonna crumble :)

What are your thoughts?

You could be right about the final three, though I'd really only be happy with one of those three. One Direction is too teeny-bopperish for me and watching Matt Cardle is far less thrilling than watching paint dry.

In my ideal world, I'd like to see the final three as Aiden, Cher and Mary. Not gonna happen, though.  :-\\\\

Rebecca, Matt and Cher are my picks for final three.  I think One Direction will be numero 4.  I want Aiden to win but he's just too fabulous for X-Factor.

Your ideal world is also mine, though I might swap Cher for Rebecca.

Agreed.  Far, far too fabulous for the X-Factor.

Agreed with you completely on both counts.  ;) I'd like to see Rebecca, Aiden and Mary as the final three.

Matt - Any more chick songs and he is going to actually have a period.  ::)

I think we can safely say that he's now a woman.  :P  I don't get the Matt love.

Cher - She was OK, but it wasn't my favourite of her performances. Her singing isn't as good as her rapping and there were a lot of bum notes.

Aiden - I thought he was PURE BRILLIANCE. And I'm so glad the judges have finally realised how stupid it would be to try to turn him into a grinning monkey of a pop boy.

Rebecca - I know she's the popular pick right now, but it's just not the sort of sound that appeals to me. I can see why people like her, but she's not my cuppa. Also, I hate the way she nods when the judges compliment her.

Wanger - Oy. Why did he have to wear an Elvis jumpsuit just because he was doing Elvis songs?? I think Wagner's run has come to an end.

Treyc - I've already forgotten her.

One Direction - I didn't hate them.

Katie - I don't think Cheryl should EVER give her a Gwen Stefani or Madonna song. Anything by a bleached blonde is just going to look like a tribute act.

Mary - I still love her, but that song choice was dire and it didn't suit her at all. Not a good performance by the lovely Mary.

Paije - If he's not in the bottom two, I'll have a little tantrum. How could the judges praise him?? That whole thing was off-key from start to finish. The whole thing. Off-key. Ugh.

*****

Overall, I didn't think much of this week's performance.

Bottom two: Paije and Wagner.

I agree with everything you said. Except that I thought Paije was okay, or at least better than Katie and several other performances (he wasn't the best, but certainly not the worst). It was a disappointing show last night, in my opinion.  :-\\\\

Except Aiden. He's so lovely.  [smiley=smitten.gif]

Matt was good and I actually love that song, but he sang that one already. I hate it when they give someone the same song they sang in auditions or boot camp.  ::) Are they out of fresh material? I mean, there are thousands of chick songs he could be singing.  :P

I love Rebecca, but I don't like that song. To be honest, I've never even heard that song except on X-Factor where they seem to be obsessed with it for some reason.  ::)

Poor Mary. That was a bad performance for her. I hope she makes it through this week.

That song was FAR too big for Cher. She doesn't come close to Alicia Keys.  :-X

I am over Wagner and ready for him to go. Elvis was probably rolling in his grave.  :-X

Bottom two for me are definitely Wagner and Katie.

I think the standard was really high last night and I liked almost everybody, with the exception of Wagner and Katie.

I think we can safely say that he's now a woman.  :P  I don't get the Matt love.

I'm getting a bit fed up with all the women's songs and was hoping he wouldn't sing another, but I love 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face' (Leona's version makes me cry every time I hear it) and his version was good, so I had to forgive him for it this week :P.

Cher - She was OK, but it wasn't my favourite of her performances. Her singing isn't as good as her rapping and there were a lot of bum notes.

Yeah, compared to some of the other performances, she wasn't that great this week.

Aiden - I thought he was PURE BRILLIANCE. And I'm so glad the judges have finally realised how stupid it would be to try to turn him into a grinning monkey of a pop boy.

I loved it - this is what I was waiting for with Aiden :D!! I was just getting a bit frustrated that he was so serious with all the other songs and, like Cheryl said, he needed to lighten up and smile a bit - he wasn't so serious or intense in his auditions, so I didn't really think it was fair that he kept doing such morbid songs. He managed to make this song a bit more lighthearted than his others (he even smiled a bit) and still be intense at the same time :).

Rebecca - I know she's the popular pick right now, but it's just not the sort of sound that appeals to me. I can see why people like her, but she's not my cuppa. Also, I hate the way she nods when the judges compliment her.

Yeah, the nodding is a bit annoying, but I do like Rebecca - her voice is lovely and she might not be the most versatile performer, but she definitely has 'something'... I think she will make it big regardless (she's kind of got the 'Leona' factor).

Quote
Wanger - Oy. Why did he have to wear an Elvis jumpsuit just because he was doing Elvis songs?? I think Wagner's run has come to an end.

I could barely even watch him this week... my flatmate and I just talked all the way through his performance!

Quote
Treyc - I've already forgotten her.

I get what Danni is saying... she doesn't have anything unique about her that makes her stand out. She's a great singer, but all she does is come out and sing different songs with nothing that makes them 'her own'.

Quote
One Direction - I didn't hate them.

I like them... they aren't the strongest singers, but they're cute and sweet and I think they'll probably have a good career ahead of them (as long as they don't fall into the trap of going off the rails as they get older).

Quote
Katie - I don't think Cheryl should EVER give her a Gwen Stefani or Madonna song. Anything by a bleached blonde is just going to look like a tribute act.

She's really annoying me now (especially as she sung a No Doubt song right after the judges compared her to Gwen Stefani!) - her voice just isn't strong enough to perform on a big stage to a big audience. She would probably be quite good at a small, intimate gig somewhere, but I could barely hear her singing last night.

Quote
Mary - I still love her, but that song choice was dire and it didn't suit her at all. Not a good performance by the lovely Mary.

Yeah, I like Mary, but I think maybe she's going to be overtaken by some of the other performers soon. I did feel sorry for her last night though, because it was obvious that she was having a hard week :(.

Quote
Paije - If he's not in the bottom two, I'll have a little tantrum. How could the judges praise him?? That whole thing was off-key from start to finish. The whole thing. Off-key. Ugh.

Oh, I really like Paije - I love the soul quality to his voice :). I didn't notice that he was off-key... I was mostly just enjoying the upbeat performance!

For me, it's Katie and Wagner in the bottom two.

I read somewhere that someone called it her Tesco's Value line performance.  :P

Oh, and the absolute low-light of the night was Louis and his Lenny Henry comparison. CRINGE.

I agree with most of what's been said except that I quite liked Paije and (can't believe I'm saying this) One Direction.  It's the first time I've ever liked either of them.

Aiden was fantastic, Cher was all right but couldn't handle that song, and I'm bored of Matt and his girly voice.  He's just a Leona-style ballad singer in a painter's cap.

Katie I thought was dreadful.  Definitely a bad idea to give her a Gwen Stefani song.  When you sing badly in comparison to Gwen Stefani, then you sing very badly indeed.

Wagner was just ugh.  I wish Louis hadn't turned him into a joke.  I have a feeling that if he'd been given the right song to sing, he could have been all right.  Every time he faces the judges these past weeks, he just looks so embarrassed, and I feel embarrassed for him.  He's gamely playing along, but I don't think he likes his role.  Time for him to go.

Mary really wasn't very good last night.  I still love her, but that was a bad performance.  She just didn't seem to get the song somehow.  I hate that she's under pressure to be "current."  What does that even mean?  Anyway, I don't think she'll be in the bottom two this week, but if she doesn't pull herself together after this she might find herself there soon.  And then I'd be sad.   :\\\'(

Really don't understand why they wanted to change Aiden.  Because everyone knows teenage girls just aren't interested in brooding, mysterious boys.   ::)

I didn't like him at first because I thought he was probably fake and putting it on, now I think he really is adorable and a little awkward.   [smiley=heart.gif] [smiley=heart.gif]

I'm kinda undecided on everyone else aside from Katie who is just... irritating and Cher who is horrendously overrated (but I haven't totally given up on her yet).  If she stopped looking so much like Cheryl's emotionally unstable starving aunt I might come around.  I can't believe she is only 16.

Just a little bit. ;D

I guess I'm one of the minority that just doesn't like Aiden...angst and whiney is how I hear him, it was cool in the beginning, but now it just really grates on me.

To me Katie sounded like a dying cow last night, I don't like her and I don't think I ever will.

Wagner, he's a joke and this years JedWard, kept around to laugh at.

Mary, she's a one trick pony and proved it last night, she can't do anything different and will be gone soon.

Matt gives me chills when he sings...definitely one whose album I would buy.

Same for Rebecca, soulfull and full of emotion.

TreyC is still forgettable, and that song was way to big for her.

Paije is in the same category as TreyC for me.

One Direction surprised me and I thought that Cher did well.

Bottom 2 for me Katie & Aiden (but I think Mary will be in the bottom this week).

I'd be really shocked if that happened. Despite last night's not-great performance, I still think she's enormously popular with the public, and rightly so.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggghhhhh!!!!!!!

How many times does that bloody Katie have to be at the bottom before the judges SEND.HER.HOME???!!!  She screwed up her song and they STILL saved her!  WHAT THE F&*@!!

Sorry for the caps--I can't believe how frustrating I find this!
