I'm on holiday but poor OH has to get into work and figures the trains will be down (darn Thameslink) so he'll have to make his way by tube...x-ing fingers its okay.

Ahh, I'm in the same boat as him tomorrow. That Thameslink takes any excuse it can get to run a reduced service and reduce us all to sardines! Best of luck to him getting in!

We had about 2-3 inches of snow yesterday and thankfully nothing else since. I actually really like snow, but having lived in the Cleveland, Ohio, area most of my life, it drives me absolutely insane at how pathetic the UK is in dealing with snow - especially so little! It's all been making me pretty homesick... I miss being somewhere that can handle this weather.
I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.' Kurt Vonnegut

Snow today on the Cape (Cod). Looks as if the threatened storm has largely gone out to sea. Hope it's not whizzing across the Atlantic to the British Isles  :P

Nope...no snow outside, it's just the frost that keeps getting thicker with each passing day  ::)

We're stranded in Cardiff, the roads look too bad to try getting home tonight even though the snow has stopped.  Plus, there's supposed to be sleet in. Dorchester.  But we are making lemonade by getting some Christmas shopping done.  Hooray for John Lewis!

It's been snowing here in Bristol on and off since 10 a.m., but it's not been very heavy (we've only had an inch or so).

Just freezing here too at the moment.  I just need any snow to hold off until Thursday evening.  I'm meant to head up to Mull for Christmas that morning and if I can't get there I will be a very unhappy bunny.  After that time, the weather can do what it likes!  :)

Ok, I'll have it mark those dates down as well.  It can do what it likes after the 28th.  ;)  ;D

We got more snow over the weekend and I LOVE it! Wish it would keep snowing :) We have about four inches right now - which is decent but it could be SO MUCH MORE!
I know I'm late - where's the booze?

We've got about 3 to 4 inches on the ground and it's forecasting snow Thursday and Friday. Looks like a white Christmas for us.  I'd love it to snow a bunch this weekend, but I hope it's not too bad for all the folks traveling.

We have very little left on the ground here, but we may get anything from nothing to a monster right around Christmas. I just don't want it to snow until after 10pm on the 24th here because I pick up my boys at 9pm that night. After that, I'd rather it held off until the 26th but I can live with whatever Mother Nature wants to throw our way if she decides to get nasty!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon
