Last night I made angel hair with marinara sauce and roasted parsnips, carrots, and beets. It was the first time I've cooked properly in days because my schedule has been insane, and it was wonderful!

Today, we're having toad in the hole at the in-laws. :)

We were watching Something For The Weekend this morning, so I have decided to make Simon Rimmer's pulled pork with spicy coleslaw:

I have to say, it's not going particularly smoothly at the moment...  :-\\\\

Oh no! Why is it not going smoothly?

I just prepped some pulled pork for the crockpot for tomorrow! Made some homemade BBQ sauce to cover it. Yummy yum yum!

Roast chicken, roasted rosemary potatoes, and cauliflower with cheese sauce. Best part is DH is making it!  ;D

Last night we had the odd combination of pancakes and a steak pudding as a last blow out before getting back on our diet.

Saturday night we went for curry after a birthday pub crawl. I ordered a chicken tikka masala. The chef must have gotten confused with his spice amounts, because it was so hot I only managed four bites of it. Hubby got the same thing, and he generally gets chicken tikka handi masala when he wants something 'mild', and eats vindaloo without flinching.

Tonight is baked basa fish and steamed veg.

I made a full on roast dinner on sunday, which is really rare for me. I did a lovely rare bone in forerib of beer (prime rib) and got a good four inches of lift in my yorkie puds, result!

I did baked potatoes though to lighten it up and made loads of veggies. Nom!

So anyway I have loads of leftover rare roast beef, so I'm going to slice it really thin and have epic sandwiches for dinner with a sourdough from Gail's bakery :)

I had so much fun!  Sorry I didn't stick around for the dinner bit.

We're having very veggie chilli from the freezer, and hubby's having diced venison to supplement his.

Everything about this sounds amazing! And I love Gail's. :)

I will be going home to the slow cooked pulled pork. Mmm. Sandwiches with that and probably crisps and fruit. It's vet day (yet again) so I've got to think simple.

Why do I keep hearing about Syrian food all of a sudden?  Sounds great!  Is it anything like Lebanese food?

Tonight hubby's having salmon and roasted veggies.  I'll probably have something thrown together involving beans, quinoa, steamed broccolli and seasoning (Italian?).

Tomorrow we're having pb's yellow split pea and carrot hotpot again!  Only I didn't have enough carrots so it's two thirds carrots and one third courgettes.
