Cheese burgers and chips for chicklet and hubby, and damn did they smell good cooking out there on the BBQ. I on the other hand had some grilled chicken breast, steamed broccoli, and a baked sweet potato. It was yummy, but I'm sure it wasn't as good as the burgers. ;D

I made fluffy pancakes for breakfast & this is what's on the menu for tonight's dinner.  I am a domestic goddess.

It was! We had the Butternut squash volunteer in our veggie patch this year. Probably from seeds in the compost ;) They are now my new favorite kind of chips!

Clam chowdah! And some nice crusty bread...cannot wait! Not very friendly for the waist line, but I've got some canned clams that I need to use up :)

Veg sausage and cheesy, creamy mash (perfected with a dash of Lawry's!) with peas on the side.  :)

Garlic/peppercorn pork roast, some form of potato (I thought about roasting them, but TF just made me hungry for mashed!), and broccoli.

If I can work out how to make it, I'd like to have pork tikka masala and potato curry with onion bahjis and naan bread. The bahjis and naan I'm decent at making. The other two I just hope don't turn into a disaster! If anyone has any tips or recipes for them, I'm all ears!  :)

Start with onions... loads of them, cooked in ghee (rather than just oil) for ages until they are a pulp/paste.  Then you can add your spices and chillies to the onions and then add your meat.  A long, slow cooking (2-3 hours) is best and should make your pork really tender.
