I found the only thing that saved me was a down duvet and a woolly hat.

LOL... I'm sitting under a duvet and a blanket while in my parka with the hood up.  And my heating is on!  :D

And fuzzy socks!

I'm wearing fuzzy socks UNDER my (fake)Uggs. It helps a little. But JUST a little.

Tesco can't deliver tonight because the roads are too slippery.  I get it because they have to keep their drivers safe, but they could have told us earlier than twenty minutes before our time slot was over.  Plus, some of that food was supposed to be tomorrow's lunch.  I skipped lunch today because we don't have anything that I can use for lunch food, only lots of beef, chicken and pork.   :(

I'm with you guys about the heating. We have electric radiators, and they don't work in the bedroom and bathroom! :( We have a space heater which we put on in the bedroom to warm it up right before we go to sleep. It makes me very cranky. Someone is supposed to be coming to look at it either this morning or tomorrow morning...

My other IA: I thought my cold was just about gone, but I woke up today really congested and just feeling generally awful... :(
Finally living with my Husband in London after 6 1/2 years together but apart... and loving my life!

Woke up in awful neck pain again. (This time at 4, 5, 6, and 7am, for added fun!) Managed to kind of get back to sleep, but my neck is seriously hurting. :(

UP for it: my kitty (who's usually very focused on "love me [for 5 seconds], now feed me!" in the mornings, was curled up right next to me (to the point where I had to shift him a bit to breathe) and purring away like a madman. (And now, even though he still hasn't been fed, he's on my lap purring away again.)

Ugggggghhhhhh.......

I managed to cause an underfloor flood in my flat- due to my inability to hook up my washing machine hose properly- and I didn't know it was leaking or flooding - as my kitchen floor wasn't wet- but apparently, it crept through a crack in the cupboard- and come to find my neighbour ringing my bell at midnight with a flooded kitchen and he was not very happy. He then rang me again at 6am to say it hadn't stopped yet. Because I was tinkering with the washing machine hose to hook my dishwasher up - its my fault and I will get to pay for the damages. Fun.

Turns out I was right to mope - the dr just rang to say I tested positive for swine flu! Oh joy of joys! This is after having the flu vaccine that supposedly contained H1N1, too. Boo!

So now I've got to get the bus back into hospital this morning to pick up the tamiflu, I've been told to stay home from work this week so the office have to bike my office laptop over to me (beautiful timing - tomorrow we launch after three YEARS of solid work!), and my husband was starting to cough last night so we don't know if he's got it now, too.

And I'll miss the office Christmas party on Friday.

But mostly I'm laughing. Some times, what more can you do??? (and also, having had both now, I can safely say meningitis makes you feel a thousand times worse than swine flu!!)

Holy cow!  :o :o :o :o I'm so sorry that happened to you phatbeetle :( My washer the other day, as I was opening up a finished load of laundry, spilled water all over the kitchen floor. Hopefully you can sort this situation out relatively painlessly  :-\\\\

My IA: I have a busy day today with essay work and moving in to my new place and I managed to wake up sick this morning with an extremely sore throat and runny nose. I also managed to find rat droppings by my bed this morning  [smiley=bigcry.gif] [smiley=bomb.gif] Thankfully, I'll only have to deal with this place for two more days.  :-\\\\ :-X
09/29/09--Visa Approved!
