Hmmm. Thanks!

I can see where that would be a solid reason to have a smart phone, if you did a lot of remote work - as an emergency backup!

In fairness, for me it's not even on the list of reasons why I purchased a smartphone (for example, google and google maps are an absolute LIFESAVER when on holiday!) but everybody is going to have different lists about their wants/needs in a phone :)
My, how time flies....

* Married in the US and applied for first spousal visa August 2013
* Moved to the UK on said visa October 2013
* FLR(M) applied for  May 2016. Biometrics requested June 2016. Approval given July 2016.
* ILR applied for January 2019 (using priority processing). Approved February 2019.
* Citizenship applied for May  2019
* Citizenship approved on July 4th 2019
* Ceremony conducted on August 28th 2019

On the train to London.  The train is “slipping” due to drizzle in the air so we are running at a reduced speed.

So trains don’t run well in heat, cold, drizzle, leaves, sun.....  when do the trains run well?  🤣

The Daughter had a job interview in Edinburgh. Took the bus (it's 3 quid if you buy it in advance on MegaBus) rather than the train (which is considerably more).  They asked her if she had a problem with commuting and she said no, she'd take the bus as it was more reliable. They didn't seem to grasp the concept of "reliable" as not meaning "a train every 15 minutes" but rather "the bus will get through - regardless of the overhead wires being down or a signal problem or a tree on the line".... I like the trains and all, but I really prefer a coach. The seats are more comfy, too! (She didn't get that job, but got one here in town that she can walk to, thankfully!)

Hope you get there ok, KF - and arrive today! ::)

We got there, had Mexican and margaritas, and watched Les Mes!  And back on the train.  Hoping Cinderella is home before midnight!

I sat on what must have been a dodgy couch yesterday, and  my back is still seized up.

Never again.

Come on, back, I've got places to go today!

Good luck on the back...

That's a good shout, actually. It's not normally something we have in our medicine cupboard but I'll pick some up today and see if that helps! Thanks!

Sorry about your back :(.

Unfortunately , you can’t buy Naproxen over the counter for back pain - it’s only licensed to be sold for period pain.

If you need it for your back, you’ll have to get it on prescription from the doctor.

Sooo, if you're female, you can pick it up if you "have painful periods". ;)
If you're male, you need to find a female who is sympathetic and willing to purchase it.

Oh, well that's definitely an inconvenient annoyance.

I stubbed my toe really hard on the corner of the coffee table last night and now my middle toe is really sore... and a different colour to the rest of my toes (it hasn't bruised yet, but it's noticeably red) :(.
