Let's just make sure we hit Lambeau, Soldier, Gillette, etc in the summer!

And do downward dog on the star in Dallas!  And eat a sheboygan at Lambeau!

Funny enough I did actually get to dance on the star in old Texas stadium. (and spit on it...as a Broncos fan)

Who is your team and do you stay up to watch games?

Sorry - I was in CA for funeral, then hosted 3 girlfriends here for a week, so have been MIA.

Good for you!  So jealous you got to spit on the star!  Troy Aikman was my quarterback during my UCLA years, but otherwise there is no love lost between me and Dallas.  And BTW, isn't he a good analyst?  Go Bruins.

My team is first and foremost my Fantasy Team, named "Testosterone Ballet."  My home team is the 49ers, and I have had season tickets for 14yrs (now you know why I need a fantasy team!).  I even saw them at Wembley this year.  Sorry we beat you (but not really - we needed the win).  My hubs is from Ft. Collins, so he has a little residual loyalty to the Broncos, and my in laws have season tickets.

This year, I watched the morning games, then half the afternoon games, then Tivo'd the second half of the afternoon games and evening games, then watched them Monday evening.  Then Tivo'd the Mon night game and watched it Tues night.  I was in nirvana when Sky sports started broadcasting the Red Zone Channel in the later half of the season, since I finally got to see pieces of all the games.  When I am at home, I watch all 16 games and am a total NFL animal. Luckily, my husband is resigned to being a football widower, and actually provides me with drinks and snacks throughout the day - what a guy!

When I am in CA, I host a Monday night football party for anyone who wants to come.  I usually get anywhere from 14-30 people.  I cook the signature dish of the host city - Philly cheesesteaks for Philly, Brats for Greenbay, Street tacos for San Diego, Red Beans and Rice for New Orleans, etc.  It is way fun.  I really miss it this year.  But my neighbor here in the UK takes me to Bath rugby every once in a while to get my testosterone fix.  I am developing a love of rugby, but not quite the obsession I have with the NFL.

Spend a week or two on a tropical island (preferably one that isn't in a tsunami warning zone).

My mother always used to say she wanted to go to Alaska and ride in a dog sled. Also she wanted to have a St. Bernard dog some day. Never happened.
Made me think about the things I might want to do -- like copy Robert Louis Stevenson's train journey across the US and then across the Pacific to Hawaii and Samoa or visit Japan and/or New Zealand (sans quakes, please) -- and the impossibility of it all.  :(

Gracious, why didn't I know you when I lived in Los Gatos!!!  ;)

YOU JUST MADE MY YEAR!!! Thank you Adventuress.

And to answer the question I would get the millionaires (players) and billionaires (owners) to shut up, stop arguing and play NFL football.

You and I are definitely twins of different mothers.  That quote could have come out of my mouth.

I just spent some time in Barcelona and Rome, so I need to add to my wish list....
I would quit my job and take a "correspondence course" PhD program that studied Ancient History from wherever the actual history took place.  With a cooking school there too.

I don't know!  My loss :) Well, I'll be back there again in August, so if the 2011-12 season actually happens, when you find yourself in LG on a Monday night, come on in and grab a beer.

My daughter and I were just talking about this yesterday. We both agreed we would hire a tailor to make us trousers that fit. Perfectly. And other clothes too. Imagine that!

And I'd probably buy a house in Santa Cruz so that we'd have a place to stay whenever we visited my mother.

And I'd have someone come in and clean my house twice a week! Or maybe just once a week.
