Another facebook rant!

1) I hate when people post up drunk statuses while driving!! I don't know if it's that I know a lot of 20-something's in college or what but I'm getting sick of it. One of my friends said she was racing up and down the street I grew up on that has two schools within a few blocks of each other. A lot of people "liked" that status and I don't understand why! It makes me really angry and especially scared for my family that live in the same place as these irresponsible jerks.

2) When people are constantly "checking in" and saying what the fun activity they're currently doing is! It's annoying and especially goes to show that my friends are not actually enjoying anything at all since they're so busy trying to look like they are. Like especially lately. Someone I know has gone on a holiday and she posts every single place they stop and every single thing they do like 20 statuses a day!

Sorry if this was offensive to anyone. I'm just ranting here.

Also yesterday was my birthday and my best friend of 16 years never even facebook messaged me to tell me happy birthday. It really hurt my feelings considering I always mark down her birthday on every calander I get and make sure to send her a card and gift for each of her birthdays. All I ever expect in return is just an acknowledgement that she remembers it's my birthday.

I agree about a lot of the status updates out there.  I know people who I graduated high school with (20 years ago...gosh I feel old...lol) who still post when they get drunk (which seems like every week).  Boring and annoying.

I agree with everything you posted. I don't really care if you "just woke up and walked downstairs to eat breakfast" and then twenty minutes later you're "walking down the hall to the living room." It's creepy, annoying and kind of sad.

Oh geez, I thought it ended after college! I was hoping that once I graduate, people would grow up. I don't understand who these people think they're impressing in the first place.

Lol this made me laugh. That is extremely creepy! One girl I know posts everytime she has a takeaway! "I had cottage pie from xxx, it was great!" WHO CARES???!!

Haha yeah that's the downside. I wish my family was better at communicating. I don't think I'd have a facebook if it weren't really the only way I can see what they're up to. My US friends have pretty much stopped talking to me apart from the occasional "best wishes on your anniversary" stuff.

Family and small amount of friends. I've just deleted loads of uni "friends" because I was so sick of hearing crap from them. My friends list is way below average now.

Lol wow that's so excessive.

I had a couple of people who posted excessively.  I didn't delete them from my friends, but blocked them from my newsfeed.  Some were just annoying me.  Others were friends/acquaintances, but not people I knew really well, so it felt weird to know every.single.detail. about their lives.

I swear to god I wish my BIL and his long distance girlfriend would just get married already. It sure would cut down on the cutsey, lovey, pornographic things they write on each other's walls! It makes me blush and even my SIL has said so. Thank goodness my MIL doesn't have FB or she would probably stroke out if she saw it. They need to become jaded and married! 

I really don't like it when couples post on each others' walls! If they're in a long-distance relationship, that's a different story (unless it's pornographic, of course). But I'm talking about people who live together. Can't they just have a conversation without dragging the rest of us into it?!?!

Not intending any offence, but I cannot STAND people who post exclusively and exhaustively about their children.  One of my friends has a 2 1/2 year old daughter and she has not had a single status since before the kid was born that didn't make reference to her; the majority are paragraph-long descriptions of things she's done, said, even eaten FFS.  She's a really good friend so I haven't blocked her, but I have blocked other people who do the same.
