I feel the same during this time of year it seems like the waiting time is getting longer and longer... If you haven't pay for the labels yet I would totally consider the extra money and pay it! It all depends how long you are willing to wait... This is my 6th week and still nothing and didn't pay the priority fee :(

I just wanted to make sure that everyone reading this thread realises that paying "priority" on your shipping isn't the same as paying "priority" for your application to be put at the head of the processing line when it arrives in Sheffield to be processed. That has to be purchased separately.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Thanks Lyonaria! I have paid for the priority and for the shipping, so I am now $778.00 poorer. I have to tell myself it's worth it!
April 2015: married
May 2015: submitted online application, set biometric appointment, realized we needed more time to gather paperwork which would exceed 30 days, freaked out, canceled applications, waited for refunds
June 25: submitted online application again
July 2: attended biometrics
July 6: package mailed to Sheffield with priority
July 8: package delivered to Sheffield
July 10: received acknowledgment email from Sheffield
July 12: received "decision has been made" email from Sheffield
July 15: passport returned by post with 30-day visa

You're very welcome! I just wanted to make sure if someone wanted Priority processing that they knew to pay for it. I hope everything goes smoothly for you.

Hi all, just wanted to join in the fun of the waiting game!

I don't  have all the dates  in front of me but...

Biometrics appointment: June 23rd
FedEx package shipped to Sheffield: June 26th
FedEx signature confirmation  it arrived: June  29th
Email from Sheffield  that it has been opened (and that I need to use the courier return service, not FedEx, oops): July 7

This is for a spouse visa and two children's  visas. We are hoping to leave early September, and the site says  99% are processed  in 8 weeks, so fingers crossed we're  part of the 99%! I'm also really worried about being rejected for missing something  or having the wrong copy  of something  instead of them just asking us to send what they need. But not much to be done about that now!

Hi guys the site for the UKVI processing times keeps saying 15 days for all settlement visas application made in USA. Is my sixth week now and still nothing. Is this site accurate at all? Or am I looking at the wrong site?

claudia- The Home Office website has the timeline from the month of May. It is apparently extremely busy during the June, July and August months and it seems as though there have been many priority applications that are being approved within days. A lot of non-priorities (like myself) have not heard back yet since late May early June submissions. I am unsure whether we should try to add on the priority a few weeks in.

Also keep in mind the week is based off of the five working days... I am hoping that I hear something within the next week or two, but I am just not sure. I didn't get acknowledgement until June 9th... :(   Fingers crossed for all waiting!

Does anyone  know if the processing  time based on when the package  arrived, or when it was opened?

I seem to recall someone here posting that she had paid for priority, but was still waiting for an answer three weeks later. I just sent mine off yesterday and paid for priority. Given that it's busier during the summer, I'd be happy to hear back within 30 days. My whole thing was that I didn't want to face waiting for 6-8 weeks during the slow processing times during the summer.

I wish I would have done priority! I am kicking myself for it now... I don't think we realized how busy it would actually get and how many people would do priority.  I am debating adding priority, but I am not sure that it will even speed mine up that much at this point. Has anyone done that yet?

Hi brynny23 thanks for the response I didn't realize it is based on May applications still and it has not been updated I just thought I could be lucky since our applications made it right before June it will still be handle writhing the 15th days. Finding out the hard way it is not and this months are the busiest before I found this forum I had no idea there was so many applicants from the USA. I don't think paying priority at this point would do any good since it will take them few weeks to realize we updated to priority. I a just here waiting and waiting and hoping it will be approve soon. Also the acknowledgment email does it mean it is actually been reviewed by someone or that they just received the package?

@pandapops:

Nope.  We didn't.  I have maxed out my credit card and went into the red last month after the wedding when Massage Envy took out money they weren't supposed to (hah!  Long poopy story)

I'm wondering at this point if it would be worth it or not.  I mean, I don't think I'm going to get kicked out of my home in August when the lease re-ups and the boys stay and I get taken off.  Worst comes to worst I can couch surf.

Feb 1: Here we go again
April 5: Sent off FLR(M)
June 4: I've got another 30 months!

Ugh, after reading  all this I upgraded and emailed the Sheffield  office with the notice. Sorry if it makes anyone else's  wait longer, but I would really like my kids to be there at the start of the school year. They're young, but I don't  want them doing a month of school here then moving and starting  a new school right away.

Fingers crossed it even makes a difference!

How did you do this? I called last week and said once the application is submitted it can't be upgraded?

I purchased  it through the company  that does the courier service. Then I emailed the priority  slip to the Sheffield office with the subject line "Upgrade to Priority  Visa service" and the VAF  number from the email where they acknowledged  the receipt  of our applications. There weren't  any instructions  to do that, I am just grasping at very expensive  straws.

Don't know if it made a difference  but I just got an email today asking for more missing  documents   (that I swear weren't  asked for anywhere!).
