Well, she was an American girl, raised on promises.
She couldn't help thinking that there was a little more to life, somewhere else.
After all it was a great big world, with lots of places to run to.
And if she had to die trying she had one little promise she was gonna keep.

A minor update...

I had included a special delivery, signed for blah di blah envelope with my original application to have my documents returned in.  As of this afternoon, it is in the post back to me and will be here tomorrow before 1.  So, not sure if that will have any new letters or just my US passport/UK driving licence etc.  I did ask them to send back my passport and licence as soon as because I have no other widely accepted form of photo ID, that was almost two months ago ;)

So, hopefully this will all be over soon!

Did you receive an email saying your documents were being returned to you? or did the post office notify you that the special delivery is on its way?

I had recorded the serial code off the return envelope I sent in with my application, so I've been checking that every day for a month!  I have received nothing via email from Home Office (or whomever it is) at any stage in the process.

Ohhh......well I will cross my fingers (and legs and eyes) that it is your approval and not just the return of your documents.  ;D
