Yes, the NYC office tells you the decision in the email.

Finally my parcel arrived! Approved! I literally pinched myself to make sure it wasn't another dream about receiving a visa, haha.

That was truly the wait from hell.... even though we used a good lawyer, I had spent well over a year researching, and I couldn't think of a single reason for rejection, I was a nervous wreck for five days. Something truly sadistic about that vague "a decision has been made" email. Condolences to those still waiting!!

For posterity, adding my timeline:

Application submitted: Nov 12
Biometrics Submitted: Nov 17
Docs Arrived in Sheffield: Nov 21
Confirmation Email:  Nov 21
Confirmation Email (second identical): Nov 24
Decision Made: Nov 25
Docs posted from Sheffield: Nov 25
Visa Received (Approved!): Nov 30

Also, LuvmyBrit, my "decision made" email had only a VAF number, no REF number. but I was approved. So that theory is disproven  ;) Hang in there!

Best of luck to everyone still waiting!

Hello everyone, I am new here! My application will obviously be spilling over into December, but since most of the steps have been taken this month, I would like to share what I have so far:

Priority Settlement (Wife) Visa Application
Online application submitted: 22 Nov
Biometrics appointment: 25 Nov
Posted application to Sheffield: 26 November
Application received in Sheffield: 30 November
Confirmation email: 30 November
Decision email: Pending

It looks like most people are receiving their decision quickly. I feel mostly confident that my application will be accepted, but still very nervous!

Congrats :) Could you tell me when your tracking number started to pop up information? Just wondering the timeline from once you get an email stating it will be dispatched shortly.

It varied a bit depending on how busy they are
It took nearly a week for mine, but others have movement in a day or two.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

My tracking number showed information the same day I got my decision e-mail.
