Your settlement visa is only related to UK immigration, not to the immigration rules of any other country in the EU.

So, as a US citizen, you are still restricted by the visitor visa rules of each individual EU country you enter. Since Poland is in the Schengen Zone, you will be under Schengen Zone visitor rules which is 90 days in every half-year.

Althouth under EU laws, in theory, if a non-EEA citizen is with their EEA citizen Famiily Member (spouse), then they should be allowed in for up to 90 days. In practice, it isn't always that easy. It's why many visa nationals get a Schengen before they travel. It's still 90 days though.

online application (wife settlement) received at sheffield on april 23rd, with a request for more documents. those documents were provided immediately.

no word since then, although i called and spoke with someone at UKVI on june 7th and they said a decision had still not been made.

july 16 will be my 60 working days...

Did you apply priority?

Paying for priority means your application is put to the front of the processing line when it arrives in Sheffield. If you don't pay for priority, the application is put to the back of the processing line.

- Priority applications are taking between around 3 and 7 weeks at the moment.

- Non-priority applications are taking 3+ months.

So, you could potentially have another 1-2 months to wait.

I dunno. I applied priority and the received my documents on 10 April. I've still heard nothing and last time I called, last week a decision still had not been made. I'm not sure priority always means faster. Has anybody non priority in April heard back at all?

A lot of priority people from April still haven't heard, I think.

It really sucks but does it help to know you're not behind?  I don't think any non priority from April have heard, so that's how long it's taking.  No one's is taking a long time for anything personal; it's everyone.  Hugs to all waiting.  Been there.

Absolute waste of 10 quid to hear its still awaiting approval and there is nothing more she can see and unfortunately you just have to wait. Just another dagger in the back from the UKVI

I had my husband call up there and they told his that updating people on the status of their application was not the purpose of the phone line. They can only provide advice on what documents should be included with the application. It seems like quite a few people have gotten somebody to at least give them a minimal update even though the information isn't helpful. Also when we emailed I was just directed the the posted  processing times from February. There a few people who have had a decision made on their application but haven't received an email. I feel like if I could just get someone to confirm that a decision still needed to be made it would be comforting to know just to wait and don't need to be chasing something down. But it would be hard to hear just keep waiting. No good outcome to calling I suppose.

Calling is a waste of time, money, and energy.  But it helps people feel like they are doing something.

I love that they told your husband their purpose is to tell people what to include in their applications!  They get that wrong 99% of the time.  I think they are just there to make money.   :-\\\\

Heehee! I'm almost tempted to call them and ask them what I should be including, just for sport!  ;D

If they really wanted to make money they could charge for the service of being able to see where you are in line. I would pay a pretty penny for that and it would go a long way to improving applicant experience. Although I get the definite impression they could care less about that haha
