From what date do we count from ? bio metrics or when it was received in Sheffield.
Hi DavyGravy,

No NP April people have heard back (or reported that they have). We are still waiting for two March people to officially get their visas. It'll probably be a while for us. Please see below the list of people that applied non-priority. The date before their username is the date that Sheffield received their documents.

Mar-03   marenleigh
Mar-29   jningc
Apr-20   natoley
Apr-24   solaire129
Apr-24   RappaGos
May-11   getme2england
May-15   AmericanMom
Met November 2014
Engaged August 2016
Biometrics April 13 2017
Sent application out April 20 2017
Acknowledgement Email from Sheffield April 23 2017

I counted from the date that Sheffield sent the email to the user that their documents had been received. I know some people say that it might be the biometrics date, but I consider that highly unlikely.

Also, the previous average had been 54 business days; but with the two March users not hearing back, it looks like the wait may be much longer.

Has the timeline changed?  The averages were around 54 days.

Last summer around this time, wait for non-priority shot up to 5 months. Sheffield now processes a lot more countries than it did before. Priority, which never before went longer than 5 weeks, is now taking up to 8 weeks (or more).

So, based on all of those indicators, I'd be hesitant to make any plans for non-priority taking fewer than 12 weeks.

You can do whatever you want. I hope I'm wrong. But at the very least, please don't make any flight reservations.

I just wanted to give y'all my non news update! Sheffield received docs April 7. Non priority. After many calls and many optimistic reassurances from the call center, I'm still waiting. They promised to hand my application over to a Supervisor for immediate review based on my circumstances. Last week we sent in a letter signed by me as requested. Called to chase it up today and there is no record of any escalation or acceleration, as promised. So I won't be calling them anymore. It completely useless.

Last summer around this time, wait for non-priority shot up to 5 months.

So I won't hear back till October?! This is so incredibly disheartening!

Candice America

I am so sorry about that  :( It sounds like you've found out what a lot of people on here also have. I haven't even entertained calling cause of the horror stories about it. Also just realised that I hadn't had you on the list either XD

Welcome to the NP side! You're on the list!

AmericanMom

I know! We seem to have hit the unfortunate year where they picked up 20+ countries to process, and it's now getting into the slow processing time.

Hi Keiki,

Cool that you've added a shareable spreadsheet. I've got mine on my desktop :)

Don't forget Candice America who said that her docs were received on April 7.

And also, I wondered about your calculation of business days because your's seem to be exactly two days more than mine. How did you calculate them?

It's a formula that automatically calculates the number of working days between the two dates when you put them in. =NETWORKINGDAYS(start_date, end_date)

Not sure if you've factored in holidays or not into yours, but this formula does not.

Oh, I did into mine because business working days in the UK generally exclude Public Holidays. That would explain everything XD

Aww don't be sad about it! It means you can find out sooner and have the stress off your shoulders! I know it's a good chunk of change but your sanity will thank you later...if you need any support you know where to find it!

Please let us know how it goes :)
