How's the honeymoon Emily?
Y'know what's really great is not being on a countdown to when one of us has to leave or 6 hours out of sync. We got back about 2am on Thursday and I had to work at library Friday and today (but thankfully was able to go in late!). But that gave space for Beth to get a bit oriented at home. Then we'll have a few days clear together at beginning of next week. We're both completely exhausted and finally able to rest and sleep! Just feel raw from it all. It feels like easing back into each other's company and gently adjusting to life together. I'm not downplaying the honeymoon bit, just being honest about the actual experience for us. At the moment it feels like life is characterised by breathing into spaces between and re-embodying our presence. We've got a few lovely short breaks planned with friends and family over next few months and when we have both recovered more financially and emotionally we might find a way to continue the three days at a hotel for our honeymoon back in April which we efficiently combined with visit to her family Lol Perhaps we'll pop to Paris!
PS I'm pleased with myself for keeping on track with the triathlon training. Beth came to cheer me on in my swimming session last night. It's moments like that, and being able to make her breakfast, or curl round each other on sofa, and last night stir fry the courgette I grew from seed through the wait, that are beyond precious.
