I didn't say *had to be*, just that it could be especially if finances were an issue or you're a creative/funny type. But I'd be open to secret santa renewal with a minimum post count too.

I have a similar bottle of allergy meds sitting on my nightstand. I think mine came from Tami in round 2. I soooo appreciate them!  I love that your family ate the Charleston Chews before you could get a pic!  Hehe

I know! I always had hay fever back in the states but I’m seriously always sniffly year round here. It’s like my allergies intensified times ten: I stupidly forgot to buy any on my last trip home. As far as the Charleston chews.. they weren’t my choice LOL but glad they enjoyed them.

I'm glad I have my trip home in a couple of weeks. I use diphendramine for a nice, cozy sleepy time and I just opened my last bottle. Time to refill my medicine drawer.

I was around but I didn't join in.  As I don't think Secret Santa's ever end well.   

HAHAHA I was double checking to make sure "Don't Steal The Parcel!" would be listed on the formal rules so glad to see it has been added.

We used to do UKY Secret Santa. But, uggh, one year so many people signed up and then didn't play.  So we had people who had sent out gifts and then didn't get one in return. That year a few of us bought extra gifts to make sure those playing got something.
 Then we also had someone throw an absolute tantrum about the gift she did get.   It lost its magic.

How can you throw a tantrum about a gift you get?! How selfish can you be?!

It never passed the smell test.  Someone who had NEVER posted or commented on anything all of a sudden popped up on this thread and was all in.  And was even chasing for "where is it now" and all.  Then ghosted.  But how do you say, "Yo, we have no idea who you are, you can't play."  Anyways - we probably would say that now.  BWAHAHAHA.

I don't know what he thought was in the box... we all love the box and enjoy it immensely.  But it doesn't really have a value.  There aren't any ipads in there.   

At least now we can justify it with "we had somebody before that only commented on this thread so unfortunately we can't let you join if this is your only thread and we don't know much about you...."

Honestly though, if he had looked at the photos of the spoils, he would see that it's not necessarily stuff with a high price tag like a handheld electronic!

I spent a fortune shipping it to him and he chased me so many times for it as well

I have a few theories on why he's just taken the box and vanished...one is because - at that point - it cost a fair amount to send that I imagine he couldn't be bothered to do it....and instead of telling us, he just decided to take the stuff and disappear. Like the mature business owner he is.

Is the person who complained about gifts still an active member?

I love secret Santa’s and I always get the crappiest gifts. Seriously... but it’s about fun not the actual gift am I right? Last year I got a man sitting on a toilet tape dispenser
