I know people getting in the christmas spirit like two weeks ago and talking about christmas shopping and I'm just like "yeah....no."

I did for the first time ever do some early Christmas shopping. Partially because my mom wanted to shop for our daughter when she was here and all the toy shops were having sales. I didn't go crazy but I did pick up some things.  Don't think I would have it my mom wasn't shopping.

I refuse to apologise!  As Slade would say "IT'S CHRISTMAS!"

Can you tell I have been deprived.  My last Christmas in the UK was 1998, and being in a country where it is illegal to celebrate the day, I am intend to grab Christmas by the ears and give it a big kiss!

Fal la la la la, la la la la!  (altogether now, join in!)

We need a photo!  I have no idea what a 'wiggle dress' looks like!
A wiggle dress!  Sounds fabulous! What is it like?

I don't have tapatalk so posting photos is a pain from my phone. This is the Pinterest board I made for some of my wedding stuff a few years ago. I had gained some weight so the dress, which I had altered, was a bit of a squeeze... and I wasn't happy with a lot of the photos taken that day...

The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

I would gladly move to Saudi Arabia if I never had to hear that Slade song again.

Moderators, can we have a ban on Christmas talk until after Thanksgiving?

- US/UK weddings might generally be smaller since not everyone can come, so they might be a bit more low-key (I know more US/UK couples who did registry office than US couples who went to the court house).

That's what happened to us.  Most of my family couldn't come from the UK so it was much smaller. Then there are the different wedding traditions between the UK/US.

The garter thing... ???

Bizarrely, I caught a lot of flak from my UK family for not donning top hat and tails...

Let's think about this.

There are 12 months in a year.

You can only go away from Christmas for 6 months before you start heading towards it again.

So, I can legitimately start looking towards Christmas from June!

I'm laughing at the idea of people reading this and their brain exploding as they shout NO!

Can confirm.

Don't laugh at my pain. I've just been informed by Facebook meme that Buble is now, officially, defrosting in time for the Christmas season.
