Did they give any indication as to why you aren't straight forward?  Have they asked for any additional documentation?

Welcome!

I did reach out to the MP on Jan 25th. They advised that there was a massive backlog after the Supreme Court ruling last year, although this has now been resolved, all cases are being dealt with in the order of date application.
Around Feb 22nd (?) cant recall exact date. Our lawyer received an email to make payment for my daughters IHS. The link of course did not work, several calls were made with no response. The following Monday she was finally able to make the payment and yet again we waited. In the meantime the MP was saying that they have been told neither of the IHS payments were made (which was false) which of course put me into a panic.
I emailed both receipts of payment to the MP.
The MP made a call this last Monday and she was told that they have everything need and its being processed (of course we still cant get an estimated turn around time)

Weds our lawyer received an email to top up the IHS payment for my daughter..we paid 500 and they needed 100 more, which we took care of right away...

and now the waiting continues

The good news is the IHS payment means the visa is approved!

Now that it's paid in full, I suspect you'll have it any time now.

What a nightmare! I'm so sorry you've been put through this special kind of hell! I hope you get an answer soon!!

I was curious and maybe one of the experts could tell me, since we filed under the armed forces appendix, will they ask for the IHS payment for my son? Or will they not bother to ask?

Ah yes, this sounds extremely familiar. Our MP said that exact same thing to us about the Supreme Court case which sounds like such a load of bull, but I could be totally wrong on that. Then we were asked for more information which we provided. UKVI then told our MP that they never received the information even though they very clearly received the email. I sent the information two more times and hounded UKVI until they gave me written confirmation that they did receive the extra documents.

If you just got an email on Wednesday asking for more money and paid it, I wouldn't imagine you have too much longer until you get a response. Fingers crossed for you that it comes soon and no more jerking you around!

They shouldn't ask for it, since it doesn't need to be paid for Armed Forces dependant visas.

Thank you! I'd be happy to pay it at this point. At least I'd know there was movement.

I just try and avoid thinking about it all as much as possible. I'm such a pessimist that I assume we'll get rejected, which makes me just freak out, sooooo....

*Puts on sunglasses* I've been cool about it and thrown myself into hobbies.

Day 58 and I'm finding impossible not to think about constantly. I'm going to need heavy duty anxiety meds by the time this is all over.

XD As they others told me, this is our group therapy :3 At least we are not alone in the waiting game.

Though...84 and 58 business days must make it so much harder, maybe go play laser tag, take out your frustration XD?

I may not be long in the waiting, but, I do have to explain it to a seven year old, who has no concept of how long a wait is, a week feels like a month to them I'm pretty sure that 84 days must seem like years to children lol, I'm sorry for that frustration
