Thanks a lot for your help. I supplied everything else yes that's right. My wife has cancer actually and she is on-going treatment at the moment.
I have made a note that under Article 8 asked them kindly not to refuse the application until they contact us first.
I have provided them with original PCP/GP letter stating her current condition and she is going through the treatment. I hope they treat our application with a humanitarian matter

Very sorry to hear that your wife is unwell. Please keep us posted with your news.

Thank you very much @larrabee @ksand24 for all your help and support. My application is a bit complicated and I would expect they would send me application not straightforward but I will keep you updated and again thanks for your support.

I suspect your lawyer used their contact details on the form, which unfortunately would mean you won't receive any of the emails.  You may want to check with them.

Maybe another two weeks?  Just a bit of a stab in the dark.

Oh, trust me, I have. They've promised me they'll be in touch the minute they hear anything. (And I've promised to restrain myself from emailing them too much.)

At least you know that by choosing priority you have done everything you can.

Hi all,

Posting my timeline and also have a question. Everywhere else it says the business day count starts from the date of biometrics, including the uk.gov site. Where is the information coming from that the count starts from the ECO email for the US?

Country applying from: USA (NYC)
Type of visa applied for: Settlement (fiance)
Priority/Non Priority: Priority
Office location processing your visa: Sheffield, UK
Projected timeline given: none
Date application submitted (online): June 15
Date of biometrics (USCIS): June 18
Documents received at Sheffield (courier confirmation): ?
Documents being prepared for consideration by an ECO email: June 27
Decision made email: nothing yet
Documents returned: nothing yet

I’m on day 33 since biometrics but only day 26 since the email, so I’m keen to know if I’ll hear soon.

It's unique to USA applications as biometrics are done before the application is sent.

UKVI can't put your application in line until they receive it.  So (generic example), if you did your biometrics on May 1st but Sheffield didn't receive your package until June 15th, they don't immediately process it because it would be at 30 days.  So for USA applications, they start the count from the date they send the "documents being prepared for consideration" email.  They've confirmed this to people time and time again over the years (been hanging out here for 6 years now).

Priority seems to have started to slip due to the annual summer rush.  Decisions are not happening in 30 days at the moment but seem to be stretching a week or two longer.  The longest it stretched to last year was 9 weeks (45 business days).  So hopefully not too much longer now.  :)

Welcome!

Now asking If they didn't process it within 30 BD are we eligible for a refund? In the VFS Global website they mentioned that they aim to process the application within 30 BD. If they failed to meet the 30 BD can we get a refund for the priority service?
I think its unfair sometimes the non-priority get a decision within 15 BD sometime without even paying for the fee. I understand that July and August are the most overwhelmed month for them but still its unfair

I'm afraid not.  All priority buys you is a spot in front of the non-priority applications.  If there is something missing from your application or it's deemed not-straight-forward, all bets are off, I'm afraid.

And it's been a LONG time since we've seen a non-priority application processed in less than 60 days!

Thanks so much. Such a bummer, but I appreciate the advice and quick response. This process is not for anxious people!
