That’s quite confusing. Does that mean you definitely won’t get a decision for 20 BD?
IF my visa is refused and I get my passport back, Can I still travel to the UK, celebrate our wedding and then return home and apply again? That's kind of our back up plan! Since it isn't a legally binding thing anymore, I wouldn't need a "marriage visitor visa" correct? It's literally going to be a big party. If the visa is approved then all is fine and dandy. We've already been in touch with our venue/reception venue and they're aware that we we already legally tied the knot, we just want a "celebration" type wedding/ceremony in the UK.
Unfortunately we had everything booked and planned before we decided to apply for the Spousal Visa. We fully intended on the fiance route. I did some very minor research (before I found this forum) and read online that we needed proof from our venue that we were actually getting married there. So, we went ahead and planned it out. (And regrettably, we knew NOTHING about this visa process at the time so once we set a date we started booking/planning before we knew how complicated this process was. Bad choices, man.) Then after joining this forum we both realized how much of a mess a fiance visa is, and got legally married here in the USA. Now, we're married and have an entire wedding halfway planned for October. I am a hot mess. There are several meetings and planning sessions I need to be there for around September, so if this visa is delayed I'm screwed. We've already paid for the dress/photographer, venue, etc. That being said I have a question.....As of now, we aren't doing anything legal in October, we're already married. The registrar is doing a "renewal of the vows" which doesn't require any specific time frame/paperwork or anything like that.
