Shame it’s not an approval though.

Fortunately you know you have an approval as they requested the IHS fee.  It’s just a matter of “when will it come?”   :D

I really hope your right. I’m so deep into this move now, I’m not sure how to go back if we find there is no approval. I imagine I’d be alone over here for a few months whilst I sell and divest everything.

Thanks for keeping it positive though. So little of this process is positive.

My solicitor received a second email from the contact hub (again) saying that my visa has been issued and that she expects me to hear in the next few days. I’m trying to travel September 7 and I can’t bear to move my vacation for a third time. If what they say is correct my visa has just been sitting there for almost 4 weeks. I can’t bear this.

When you receive it, make sure to check the dates they have made it valid for.

Still waiting. I predict no news again today.

User zlynne is on exactly the same timeline as us (prep'd for ECO email on 27 Jun) but was informed that their application had been approved a month ago so they're just waiting for the passport and vignette.

Every time I call the call centre they say it's still "awaiting decision".

I don't believe an ECO has even looked at our application yet. But they're approving other US applications in as little as 10 days. We're obviously either in the wrong queue or sitting waiting for someone to remember we exist. It seems an unfair system.
Country: USA (Seattle)
Visa: Settlement - Spouse (Wife)
Priority: Yes
Visa office: Sheffield, UK

Biometrics (USCIS Seattle): 15 Jun 18
Documents at Sheffield (ParcelForce): 20 June 2018
Email "prepared for consideration by ECO": 27 Jun 18
Email "did not include airway bill": 27 Jun 18
Call to escalate after 30bd: twice, no reply

Email "decision made": 3 Sep
Documents returned (to UK): 5 Sep
Passport received (UPS): 5 Sep

(48th bd from "application being prep'd for ECO" email.)

Visa valid from: 10 Sep
BRP pickup from: 17 Sep
