Just received a decision made email. 17 WD.

Not sure if its a good sign or a bad sign that it's taken only 17WD haha.

Guess we wait and refresh UPS tracking every 5 minutes till passport is in hand now!

Fast decisions are approvals.  Refusals take time.

Though for others waiting - that does NOT mean you are looking at refusals.  The switch in systems is the likely cause there!

Good luck! Did you use the old or new system?

Well that's reassuring, fingers still crossed anyway.

We used the new system, but submitted around 2 weeks after others on the forum said they used the new system.
Submitted online application: 13 July 2019
Biometrics: 19 July 2019
Documents received in NY: 30 July 2019
Decision made email: 22 August 2019
Documents and passport returned: 26th August 2019

Hi! We submitted a priority fiancé visa on June 30th, biometrics on July 1st. Last week I got a reply to an enquiry saying “Upon looking at your application I can see you applied for the priority service, I have therefore amended your application and informed the relevant team of the changes”We are currently on working day 38 and have not heard anything since. Is this a common thing to happen?

I believe we are in the exact same position. Our biometrics were on 2nd July. I have seen on other groups a few others pushing 40WD on priority.

Did you apply through visa4uk followed by VFS priority receipt? They recently changed to Access UK and I think more people than normal have fell through the net with priority service as the new system now puts priority inside the application form, not a separate receipt.

We haven’t received that email but we did email today saying we are at 37 working days with no update. Hoping that gets to the bottom of the problem. I seen there were 2 other people on this forum thread in the past month not processed as priority when they should have been.

Good luck

Welcome!  :)
That's been happening a lot recently, they seem to have been missing that applications were supposed to be priority. People have had a result fairly quickly after getting the kind of notification that you've just received so hopefully you won't have too much longer to wait.
You should be able to request a refund of the priority fee too as they appear to have admitted to not having been treating it as priority up to now.

I think it was the old system but I honestly can’t remember. :( But I’m hoping for some good news soon!

Ah, another weekend passed with no response :(. And a bank holiday ahead!

Starting to feel negative/disheartened on this after seeing quite a few submitted 1-3 weeks after our submission/biometrics/received email.

Is the process definitely random? How is it that it isn’t a queue process. We paid for priority and submitted over 6 weeks ago... anyone still in the same boat or have any thoughts?

Priority processing used to make more of a difference when fewer people used priority. Now the vast majority pay for priority processing so the wait times are all correspondingly longer.

The lack of a proper queue system is the biggest frustration for many. It's not fair at all but they have no incentive to make the process any easier on the applicants.

Congratulations!  Such a quick decision!  Feel free to visit other areas of the forum for help with the move.  Also, consider applying for ToR1 if there are a lot of possessions to move... or maybe it's needed for moving the kitty...?  Anyway, that's a thing to research.  :)

Yes it's needed for the kitty or you'll pay import taxes, even on a rescue!

Congrats to all the recent approvals :)
