Thank you!!! He is going to kill me... But yes he does! I think after all this stress it is exactly what we need.

After how much I've ragged on my husband for only taking one of our kids to nursery last week, I suspect he'll create an account on UKY to defend his position.  BWAHAHAHA!!

Southern Boy - meet up.  You'll love every minute of it and you know it.   ;D

I could use a little holiday.  I could always take Southern Boys place!  Not on the making love though.  Can I bring my cat?  Leave the husband and kids behind?

Really wish they would at least elaborate on what it is that isn’t ‘straightforward’. I mean is that difficult? ???

It’s not difficult.  I have many frustrations with the whole process.

He is convinced we are going to get refused... Which I know is a possibility. But we tick all the boxes. I've got no idea on what grounds they could refuse us. Do you think an MP could find out the reason? Thanks so much!

As I said in the other thread, it’s most likely just an auto-generated email with little or no human input.

I doubt you have anything to worry about. From your documents list, I don’t see that anything was missing.

Hello

My husband and I are also on a similar boat. Our documents were received on the 29th of December and on the 23rd of January we received the not been straightforward email. He thinks everything will be okay but I’m extremely worried. I was refused entry back in September because he thought that I could apply from within the UK so we declared that at Luton. The immigration officer that handled my case was a sweetheart and told me that ppl often make the mistake and to not worry. They still gave me 2 weeks to be in the country, which was nice of them. I know they tend to send people back on the next flight out. Also, my husband is self employed and he submitted a full financial year. I don’t know if that is something they tend to take their time looking at. Anyways, I wish the best to you all that are waiting. I don’t think I’ve ever gone through so much stress in my life.

It really is the most stressful crap isn't it!
I think yours is probably because of the first refusal. But one of the experts could give you more on that!
I hope you get an approval soon! All this stress can't be good for any of us!

If you were allowed in for 2 weeks, you weren't refused entry. You were just given a limited visitor visa of only 2 weeks instead of 6 months.

If you had been refused entry, you would not have been allowed out of the airport and would have been put on the next flight home.

It's good that you were honest about what your plans were, because it's much worse if you try to hide it and then they discover you haven't told the truth... they can determine you were using deception and that carries a 10-year ban.

We still put it down as a refusal bc that’s what the paperwork said. I was afraid to put it as anything else on the application.  The officer also wrote down how we had mistakenly thought we could apply from within. Hopefully it doesn’t count against us and they’ll realize that on the paperwork I was allowed to stay an additional two weeks.

No, it won’t count against you. Great that you were honest.
