Last night I had my first beer since mid-August (due to pre-op diet, recovery from surgery, etc)...

It was only a half, as I was driving, but oh... Tiny Rebel Stay-Puft (marshmallow porter)... welcome back to my life!   ;D

That one is SOO tasty. What a way to re-introduce yourself back to beer! Tiny Rebel is great in general but the Marshmallow porter is orgasmic LOL

My, how time flies....

We got zero trick or treaters last night. Guess they didn't want awesome candy!

I ate half my weight in our stash including milky way and twix and I am proud of it. Had a really rough day yesterday emotionally so I will totally justify it  :D
That is the best part of Halloween! I usually brought leftovers to share with the office and they loved me.

The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Parma violets

Yes.  Parma Violets.  They are of the devil.  HORRIBLE things.  My husband likes them.  We're sending a care package to my sister in Afghanistan, and he's including those.  She will probably like them, too.  She's weird.

Actually, almonds do improve Hershey's, but you could put the almonds into not-Hersheys and they'd be better served.  But, yeah... I didn't like Hershey's in America.  As a child, it confused me, because I like chocolate, but not that brand, and yet, it seemed to be the most popular brand.

I like candy corn too... And the comparable things at Xmas.

My LMH... We got a new hob!! Landlord said she wanted to replace it when we moved in, had no idea when, and today was the day. Now we have a super fast heating, easy to clean ceramic top hob. Happy days! Now I feel a bit safer trying to make candy, I can test the temps of the different settings. (the previous hob had "too hot" and "not hot enough" options)
