SUMMER!!!!
« on: July 11, 2018, 09:30:12 AM »
Okay, long timers.  Can you BELIEVE we are having an ACTUAL summer?  Not just a week but a proper full season of summer?  It really is incredible.  I never knew it could be like this here!!

New timers, this is NOT normal.  AT ALL.  Lap it up!

Though I do wish we would get a bit of rain (overnight) to help the plants and water tables.  ;)

I have had off and on overcast looks-like-it-might-rain since yesterday, but it hasn't actually rained.  But I've found myself actually feeling glad of the slightly cooler temps and stronger breeze!  I'm not saying that this unusual summer is too much of a good thing, but it has been A LOT of a good thing, and there's still more in the forecast.  Wow!

Yeah, it's been beautiful. Where we are, it's never been too hot.

But I am ready for rain.  We have rain we want sun.....we have sun we want rain, it's the natural way of things!   ;D

We apparently had a very light rain overnight.

This is too much summer. Bring back the clouds and cool, please!  ???

The great thing about jackets is that they have pockets.
I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC

This is not what I signed up for!!!  >:(  :\\\'(
Not had a decent night's sleep in a couple of weeks, and the office can't seem to get the a/c levels right.    I've had enough, so -- roll on, autumn, please!

I don't mind if the weather cools down, but please don't wish us closer to winter!  ;)

We've had several days of rain/mist/cloud now. Normal service has resumed and all feels right in the world.

Was in England over the weekend. It looked so brown! And it was hot.
Was happy to pull into Scotland to see the nice, low dark clouds. And especially when it started raining on us. :)

Was good to get home. Had a nice trip, but good to get back home again.  ;D Where it's NOT HOT.  ;D ;D

Totally Nan. We had rain all last week.  My grass and garden are green and happy again.  Even had a wee rainy BBQ.
