I agree. In fact, we changed our plans based on the very same advice.
Originally, my other half was going to give notice at work and give notice on moving out the flat in early July (both one month's notice) based on an anticipated approval in late July / early August.
Based on reading advice here, we backtracked on that and plan to do *absolutely nothing* until we get some news, which will hopefully be next week (fingers crossed). Until then, life goes on as normal.
It may ultimately lead to an awkward conversation at work due to the 1 month notice vs 30 day vignette issue, but better that than risk being stuck with no job and no home in the event of a delay or refusal.
