Yeah, there is a huge gap in the market there. Maybe that could be your new business opportunity!  :)

Maybe so! I'm keeping my options open.  ;)

It just never even occurred to me that that would be something I wouldn’t be able to get in the UK... and then I woke up in the UK one day craving one. And that craving lasted until I got back to America and got my fix.

I miss a good salt bagel too.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Bagels and air conditioning - tomorrow's trends!
I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC

Migas are also pretty tasty too. It’s essentially scrambled eggs,  tomatoes, peppers, onions (I sense a theme) and crispy corn tortilla chips mixed in with shredded cheese.

Ooh yeah, YUM!  I make migas sometimes... I leave out the tomatoes and peppers, and add green salsa and sour cream.

Sadly there is no sign of a good bagel here.  Not the same at all, but I DO love a good crumpet.  I will miss those if I ever repatriate!

I miss a good salt bagel too.

They're my favorite! And I started using strawberry cream cheese on them. There's just something about that sweet and salty together...

Sadly there is no sign of a good bagel here.  Not the same at all, but I DO love a good crumpet.  I will miss those if I ever repatriate!

I love a good toasted crumpet! Butter and raspberry jam on mine please! I'd miss crumpets too... And now that I've had a crumpet, an English muffin just isn't gonna cut it anymore.

Apparently (forgot to say earlier) there's a really good Bagel place in London. Think it might've been Jimbo that mentioned it before?

I miss bagel world and my chocolate chip bagel with peanut butter OR my everything bagel with veggie cream cheese! Or even something as basic as a french toast bagel.. UGH. This time I am DEFINITELY bringing bagels home from the US to freeze!

I change my mind on anything I said previously, proper bagels and proper doughnuts are what I miss the most from American breakfast (and the occasional funky pancake).
