I would say yes, it'd be nice to be able to plan meetups in other parts of the country!

Yep! absolutely this! As mentioned previously, I'm happy to give admin/mod rights to whomever needs them. The group should run itself as it won't have any comments on the group itself and people can plan whatever meetups wherever in the country they want :) I only ask for a UKY username to help verify you're actually from here (or the spouse of somebody from here) and not somebody looking to take advantage of the group you've randomly found by change.

My, how time flies....

The eagle or the blizzard? I couldn't resist the eagle one haha and the blizzard just looked like the happiest blizzard photo taken so I thought I'd use that one.

Okay okay okay okay . I know it's pretty much only me who is disorganised enough to want/need a Facebook invite but the best way to do it was this :

https://www.facebook.com/groups/679288942433337/?multi_permalinks=679289379099960&notif_id=1537262706220187&notif_t=feedback_reaction_generic

I created a FB group (above) for anybody else that feels inclined to track events that way. Couldn't do just an event without making it public (and I don't know everybody's real names so couldn't really gatekeep who was getting in/out of events). I made the group so that anybody that wanted to find it could but needed to ask request (I asked "where did you find this group" to kept gatekeep who was actually coming from this site) and then - once in - you could see the events.

At request, I've shut off all commenting beyond admin comments to ensure conversations stay on UKY and not FB and to keep the focus of that FB group to ONLY creating events for those that need the reminders (and it can make it easier to share photos).

Feel free to join if you're on FB and want to. If not, I won't be offended it's totally fine. If people further up north want to create a meetup and use that page to create an event, I'm happy to make whoever an admin so they can do that if they have issues just being a member.
What is the event called? Or is it a group? I can’t access it by clicking on it for some reason. I was just going to look it up

The group is called UKY Meetups.  It's set as private, so I don't know if searching will work.  This should work... https://www.facebook.com/groups/679288942433337/?ref=group_header
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued
4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)
5/6/2013 - FLR(M)#1 in person -- approved!
8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)

Should be searchable. It's set to "closed" not "private" as it means those not in the group can see it but have to request to join.

Excellent.  Now we are talking about cats (and have the photo!), Jimbo is sure to come around to this thread!  He'll be RSVPing any second now.  Yay!

I'm thrilled you guys are worrying about me.  I'm terrible about dates so I was just letting you guys sort it out. Plus, the early threads named it as a furry party and I'm not into that.

Did nobody see my custom map showing how we were all going to arrive?

Anyway, there's a good chance I can come not matter what the final date is, and most likely can bring Mrs Cz and both Jr. CZ.

Is there any plan for late night drinking?  There will be if the Seahorses show up

I'll pitch in for an Uber from Scotland if I can drink with Tami, Albatross and Phatbeetle.  All my life goals will be achieved

I feel like there definitely should be...and that's why I was mildly considering an Airbnb for the night lol

Yesssss, the MEOW MEETUP lurred him in!!!

And I completely agree.  We need the Scottish contingent to come down.  Don't forget Larabee (I assume she's up north somewhere as she's mentioned soft water and lovely people).  ;D
