You'll need to include all your previous passports in the application.

Yes, you need to cover right up to your application date. In fact, it's especially important to cover communication since the wedding, otherwise it could look like you only married for the visa and stopped communicating after the wedding.

also... ok.. i just have the picture page from my passport before sending it in.. so i assume that's what is needed.

Will the passport office return my passport I had to send to get my name changed?  I assume they would right?

Can he not just put them together in a Word document, then email them to you so you can print them for him?

You need to send the whole passport (and all other passports you have held in the past).

The passport office should always send cancelled passports back to you... because you may need them in the future.

For example, my expired passport has a valid US visitor visa in it... so when I travel to the US, I have to carry 2 passports with me: my current, valid passport, and my old, expired passport with my US visa in it.

Oh wow.. that's crazy.... I did just find out even though I paid overnight service for my passport to be sent back, the old passport will be mailed in a separate mailing... :o what? they said that may take up to 2 weeks to receive the old one, so that means I cant apply for my Visa until I receive the old passport...  :(

Hi... I may need help on how to ask a new question on this thread without having to go the "quote" route, or is that the only way ...
My question is... i saw someone today that said  when applying for their visa and paying, it didn't seem to like "debit cards".... is this true? I only have a debit card with my credit union... should i go get a "Pre-Paid" card that you can pick up at WalMart... I don't want the payment to be declined.  My Credit Union said to let them know before I plan to pay so they can raise my daily limit and that the payment will be going to England.
Thank you for your help.. :)

You just click the 'Reply' button at the bottom of the page.

Most people are the other way around... they know how to reply on a thread, but have no idea how to quote another post, lol.

I had never heard of the system not liking debit cards before that post, and I believe most people pay using a regular debit card.

What I suspect happened in the other case was that their bank was not informed of the large transaction before the purchase was made, so even though they got the card unblocked, the transaction just kept being blocked again because they hadn't explicitly told the bank that they were making that purchase and didn't ask for it not to be blocked.
