End of today and we’ve had more progress...

Radiator is back on the wall

Fridge/freeze doors are cut and attached

More cupboard doors were added as well as the upstands and “splash back” bit above the hob.

Nearly there!

Fridge freezer now in the appropriate cupboard and installed/working properly. More floor space back. Yay!

More cupboard doors on, another cupboard up (3 more to go!) as well as the cooker hood and it’s all wired in.

More upstairs have been put on. I put the wine rack door on myself. Woot! Hah

Hoping within he next 2 days, all the cupboards will be up and it’ll be just doors, upstands, and cleaning left!

Rik is adamant that we WILL cook at least 1 meal in this kitchen after all the work! haha

This was just a question of unfortunate timing?

This was just a question of unfortunate timing?

I think it's because we had pulled the house off the market and figured we'd look to re-list at some point after the kitchen was finished (either the beginning or end of Summer), so we would have obviously had a chance to use and abuse the new space. But now that we've unexpectedly sold our house and we've bought a new house that wants to exchange by the end of May if possible, we're thinking we may not get much time to really enjoy the new entertaining space haha

I am afraid to use the kitchen as want to keep it in perfect shape for the buyers but Rik is adamant we will have to use it fully at least once.

Thanks! Honestly, it's more cupboard space than I genuinely know what to do with! hahaha Our new house has probably double this as well! I am certainly not going to have any storage issues for kitchen utensils and gadgets for the foreseeable future!

Update from today (we hauled ass as the buyers are coming tomorrow to take measurements and we want it to look nice so  they don’t consider pulling out lol):

Almost all the doors on. Had to stop because  I spotted they were on upside down on the tops and so we started to swap them but called it a night because were obv too tired to not make mistakes. I’m sure Rik will sort out a chunk tomorrow over his lunch as well. Definitely looking nicer and more kitchen-y with the cupboard doors on!

Don't be!!!

All cupboards might be sorted by the end of today/tomorrow but kitchen might not be fully done until Saturday as there is a bit more cutting that needs to be done with saw (need to cut remainder of upstands and do things like the plinth.
