Well, here I sit. Waiting. All the stress for the application, and then it’s the intolerable wait while they decide. We couldn’t afford super Priority, not that it seems to be working out well for the folks that did.

Yeah, hang in there buddy!  :)

Just came home a little while ago from a few days away. Two notices in the mail for signature required mail. Two separate companies, one Royal Mail and the other DX. Royal Mail was still open, so we ran down......

Visa APPROVED!!
Assuming the other is the new BRP and can only be re delivered on Tuesday.

Congratulations Rick! I'm not too far behind you. I will be applying in December.  Guess what I get to spend my Christmas money on. Lol. I won't be doing priority either. Better things to spend £800 on.

Oh, hi Rick!  We applied originally around the same time, but I got a refusal and had to do it all again.  My extension happens in November.  It must be a huge relief to have it out of the way.  Congratulations.

I’m gonna hang on to mine.  I still remember the shock when I was filling out my original visa application and was asked for old passports.  I had destroyed them.  I stated that, and it seemed to be fine, but it was a worry.

I’m not sure if they have changed the rules recently but my husband had to send his old BRP back when he received the new one. The letter instructed him to cut it in four and that there could be a fine of £1000 if it was not returned.

Married 1966, left UK 1969, returned 1998, left again 2000, returned June 2014 (husband on spousal visa) granted FLR(M) November 30th 2016  and ILR on  24th May, 2019. Yeah!

Thanks Michali! Nothing in my letters indicate anything! Going to have to call UKVI to get their input I’m afraid.
