One of my bank statements list it as my first initial, middle name initial and full last name by the address,  but it then says account name and lists my full name. Would that work?

I assume you're asking because you don't have anything else.  And no time to get something sorted out?  Common sense suggests that since your full name appears on the document and it was posted to you that it would work, but I don't want to be the one to tell you that the person on the day will accept it, only to reject it.

I have time, but we are limited on sources. We live with my mother in law so the only documents will be bank statements.  We can't get in the council bill or any of the utilities.

Just have them change the name on your bank statements to match exactly. It's really not worth taking any sort of a chance with and the bank should easily be able to sort this for you.  :)

The bank (HSBC) shows the account name as my full name on the statements just not on the address part. I'm waiting to see how my fist statement with nationwide looks.

Ok.. quick question on this item. Will they accept mobile phone bills? I was able to get my full name to show on those bills. :)

Sorry, no. This is what they list as acceptable.

What to bring to your test
You must bring the same ID that you used to book the test.

You must also bring proof of your address that has your name and postcode on it. It must be dated within 3 months of the day of your test. This can be a:

gas, electricity or water bill - the original document, not a photocopy
Council Tax bill - the original document, not a photocopy
letter from the Home Office with your name and address on it
UK photocard driving licence
bank or credit card statement

More thinking out loud than anything. But maybe you could apply for a provisional driving license? Think it's around £35 but it may give you the option to choose how you want your name to appear? It might not but thought I'd mention it. Also, I don't know how long it takes to process so if you're tight for time you need to be aware of that.
