You’ll be fine :). It should be old hat by now because you’ve already done it at least 2 times before :).

If I remember correctly, the only differences with this application are:

- your mail needs to cover 2.5 years instead of 2 years

- you list the child on the application, and include their passport, birth certificate and a letter addressed to them dated in the last 90 days

- you take the Life in the U.K. test

Oh, and if the visa were to fall for refusal, you’re more likely to be granted leave under Article 8 on the 10-year path because you have a U.K. citizen child.

Great! Although, I don't have a letter addressed to the child! How do I get one?? All I can think of is nursery and doctors??

Those are pretty much your only options.

Most people either ask their GP or their kid’s school for a letter confirming the child’s address. The GP may charge for it though.

Turns out we have a letter from Wirral NHS last week for her 2nd year review which is absolutely perfect! I can relax a bit more

So, I ordered and have received bank statements from the past year (I only kept 6 months worth). However, I have two questions.

1) It says 'duplicate' on it but it's an official bank statement and identical to the rest minus this word.
2) HSBC now say they don't stamp statements anymore. I questioned and they said it is a requirement sent down from high up. I need to bridge a gap between statements which I receive on the 10th of every month and I will need a printed statement up to now showing June's payment. This will mean I require a letter from the manager I am guessing?

That’s fine - not a problem.

If the statements have been ordered and mailed to you, or they have been printed by the bank in-branch, they do not need to be stamped anyway. So you don’t need a stamp or a letter.

Great - thanks ksand.

So the section where it asks for reasons to stay in the UK we wrote the reasons why as I wrote earlier in this thread but it asks to list what supporting documentation that we will be submitting to support what we wrote.

I can only think of birth certificate and family picture? What else?

Second question, I am getting my landlord to write a supporting letter as we are out of our original tenancy agreement. I have written this for him to sign.

"To Who It May Concern,

As the landlord and owner of property “X XXXXX, Wirral, Merseyside, XXXX XXX” I am writing this letter to confirm that Jenniffer Lagler, Ben Hayward & Lily Hayward have been renting this property on a continuous basis since December 2016.

They have my permission to continue renting the property as tenants and have been paying a rental charge of £XXXpcm.

If I can help Jenniffer’s visa application in any other way, such as providing more information, please feel free to contact me on the above details.

Sincerely

Brian XXXXXXX
27/06/19"

Is that sufficient? I am close to writing a list of what documentation we have as we're days away from applying  ;D

RE evidence of reasons to stay in the UK, that's optional. I submitted pet insurance for my dog but even that was unnecessary. You can just leave it blank as you're already submitting your baby's documents elsewhere. This would really just be for paperwork such as if you're a refugee, etc.

I have actually come to the part where it gives you a breakdown of documentation to provide and there isn't a single demand for anything for our child. No passport, birth certificate...nothing. Which I am quite shocked at

I can't say for sure as I didn't apply with a child, but I was pretty sure you had to provide at least a few documents....they don't really demand you give any specific docs so I'm not sure I would trust not adding them just because it doesn't force you to add it.

Hopefully somebody that applies with a non-dependant child can advise further as I haven't a clue. Sorry :(

I will probably submit her birth certificate, British passport & family images anyway but at no point has it prompted to provide evidence which it does with other questions etc

You don't need family images so I honestly wouldn't bother as it's just extra stuff for UKVI to have to sift through and they wont look at it so honestly, don't even bother. Whether or not the passport and birth certificate is needed, wait and see what someone like KF says as you really don't want to add more to the application than they want but if they do want those things and it's not clear, you obviously wont want to miss them.

I don’t believe you need council tax evidence (unless you’re using it for your 6 items of correspondence) or housing cost calculations either.

I have no idea why the application says you need either of those things because they are not considered and will not be looked at.

Other than the Life in the U.K. test, the requirements are the same as for the spousal visa and for FLR(M), so if you did not send them for the other visas, you should not need to send them now.

The housing cost thing, we put that we owned a home and we needed to provide our current mortgage statement and I assumed that was what was meant as "housing costs", but as Ben is renting, I agree that I'm not sure why it would ask for that as he wont need to provide this.
