Hi Ksand24! Thank you for your help. Yeah I discussed it with my fiance and my parents and I put January 2nd to give them more time to attend my wedding. But I was shocked I was able to get a biometrics appointment for a week after I submitted.

Just wanted to follow up on this. Do I need to upload my signed document checklist?

I'm sending to VFS New York:

Stamped appointment sheet (today at 10 am)

I have a feeling you’re supposed to upload your document checklist before you attend the biometrics appointment, as I don’t think it’s possible to upload anything after the appointment.

In fact, it may be too late to upload anything more now, as it used to be the case that you had to upload everything at the same time in one go (at the same time as booking your appointment)... that may have changed recently though.

I don’t think you need to mail the checklist, though if you haven’t already uploaded it and it won’t let you do it now, then just include it in your mailed package.

You also need to mail return packaging for the return of your passport.

Not sure if it’s available again yet, but are you using the Settlement Priority Processing Service (purchased on the VFS website for about $780)?

If so, you also need to include your settlement priority receipt in the package so they know that yours is a priority application.

Hi Ksand24 I am not doing priority but I did see I could purchase it. I did not upload my document checklist before my appointment because it said I had to sign it at my appointment. I am going to mail it.

Yeah, it does not need to be signed at the appointment - that is incorrect information that does not apply to US applicants giving biometrics at an ASC. The checklist should be signed and uploaded at the same time as all your other documents. However, as you have not uploaded it already, I would mail it instead.

Your biometrics will be taken by US immigration on behalf of UKVI - they have nothing to do with your application, they don't care what visa you are applying for and you don't even need to take the checklist with you.

All you need to take to the appointment is your passport and the biometrics confirmation sheet. The appointment should only take around 5-10 minutes total

The normal procedure for biometrics is:
-  arrive at the appointment where they will check your passport and stamp the confirmation sheet
- they will take your photo and fingerprints and then send you home
- Once you get home, you mail your passport and stamped biometrics sheet, along with your return shipping label and packaging to New York within 5 days

Yeah biometrics went well and I mailed everything off. They included return packaging and a printed label. I'm not gonna stress about the document checklist. Now we wait lol.

I'm on working day 29/ 30 on the standard path. I'm getting antsy lol and just want to know if I'm approved. I'm trying not to email because I know it won't go anywhere and I'm still in the 60 day window. *fingers crossed* I hear something soon.
