I don’t think you will be forced to interact with anyone

Or rather, stuff will be happening, and I won't be vaccinated yet. FOMO!

Seeing that in England they would hope to abolish contact limits by June 21st. But I don't even know if we'll be vaccinated by then. This has always been a big fear of mine! That they'll lift things and I won't be protected. I know people with allergies who can't get the vaccine yet are also worried. I know we can't live in a bubble forever, I just wanted to make sure that I have a vaccine before I am forced to interact again!

I don’t think the “life back to normal on June 21” is at all realistic. I think the March 8 and March 29 unlocks are reasonable. They start to lose my confidence after that....

I suspect it’ll be a continued sh*t show. Reversing things, etc.  I just hope people don’t *actually* think their giant weddings will go ahead this summer.

Sorry to be so grim. I’m just so over everything. I want out more than anything. But I want realistic targets!

Well Scotland... There was no mention of widespread gatherings in June from Nicola's announcements today.

BBC Scotland's Correspondent summed it up pretty well 'If the Prime Minister outlined a cautious approach to the easing of restrictions in England, then the approach outlined by the First Minister in Scotland may be seen as uber-cautious.'

Interesting days... We're heading back into Tier 3 (which is pretty restricted) at the end of April, all going okay with things.  I do feel a bit better that things will open more along with vaccine progress....

I'm shaking!  ;D Just had a call from a district nurse, she's coming tomorrow morning to vaccinate us both!  ;D

We had told them that we wanted to be done at the same time to limit possible exposure and they told us that was fine but we'd have to wait until it was my turn, (which I expected as he's group 4 and I'm group 6 carer) so I thought it would be ages yet.

Yaaaaay!

Congratulations!!

I see the huge numbers of folks being vaccinated every day  but this last 10 days 9 of our family members including ourselves today have now had the vaccine. 3 of us are in the age band 65-69 and the other 6 have various health issues  that now qualify regardless of age including lupus and asthma.

It certainly feels like a return to near normality is within reach, particularly with the release of the new data analysis from Scotland and England showing how effective the vaccines are after the first jab and how long the antibodies appear to last.

We booked (fully refundable) trip to Scotland for the first week of June. To see my daughters panda (she’s an official adopter) at Edinburgh Zoo.  She’s even getting a mini zookeeper experience.

Fingers crossed that Nicola will let us in!  This is assuming things continue to move in the right direction.  We will 100% cancel if everything goes to sh*t!  No hesitation.

Fingers and toes crossed that you'll be able to go!  That sounds super exciting - especially going to see your daughter's panda.  :D  Before I settled on the human side of biomedical science, I had been training to be a vet.  Mini-keeper experiences are so much fun; I totally hope she'll be able to do it and that she has a blast.    ;D

It would just be nice to do something FUN for my kids. My 6 year old is in that special group that’s about to have a second lockdown birthday. At her age it’s a massive portion of her life.

Thankfully life is pretty normal for my 3 year old as he can still go to nursery.

Kids really are the forgotten victims in all of this. Closing schools was such a blow for social development.  Needed.  But a blow. School really isn’t about academics at this age.
