By the way, where did you get the brisket? I never see them in the supermarkets. I take it you have to go to the butcher and ask for one?  ???

Got it at Tesco, Scottish, organic rolled brisket cut.   The British brisket cut is pretty close in the same area as the US brisket cut.
I've never gotten food on my underpants!

DH is at a work thing for dinner, so I stopped at M&S and got some tasties for dinner! I had some rice, lentil, and roasted aubergine salad, lime & coriander chicken, leafy salad, hummous, and pitta bread. And I got some fresh fruit salad for dessert!

Last night was a sort of middle eastern red lentil and veggie soup with cous cous.  Tonight is pasta with  my homemade tomato sauce with some walnut riccotta pesto mixed in plus salad or steamed broccolli.

Hubby is making chicken & leek pie!

That sounds like a good peace offering.  :D

The pizza was OK, but I hate eating alone. Food is so social, ya know?  :) Come on weekend - I wanna see my girlies!   :D

Tonight is pizza night--quick and easy, because we're probably running out to a friend's art exhibit or a concert afterwards.

Hmmm... this sounds good.  :)

Now I might make some fried chicken breasts, possibly on a bun with sweet potato fries.  :D We'll see what DH fancies. But fried chicken sounds like a nice treat since it's been a tough week for us.
