IME- :( I'm sure the guy at work didn't think badly of you for your car dying! It happens to everyone and I bet he was happy to help!

As for the other 2 things... they definitely happen in threes! At least you know you're set for a while! ;)

I'm up to four now! Going to bed and hoping tomorrow will be better. Thought I'd had something sold on craislist. I skipped going to the gym and waited around for a woman to come buy it. She never showed. And now I'm paranoid because a total stranger has my address.  >:(

the 2 1/2-year-old thinks singing 'mommy waddles like a duck, quack, quack' is funny.

it's not where you're born, it's where you belong

The cold and rain, wtf?

Don't get me wrong, it's better than the super-sticky 90 degree heat and humidity my family in the States has had for weeks on end, but there's something just wrong about shivering in a long-sleeved shirt in the middle of August...
Summer 97 - first visited friends in London
99-00 - studied at Uni of Sussex on exchange
Feb 02 - moved to London on BUNAC
Sep 02 - WP granted (IT skills shortage list)
Sep 04 - WP renewed
Sep 06 - WP renewed again (screwed by 4-5 year ILR change)
Sep 07 - ILR!
March 09 - Citizenship!
July 09 - bone marrow transplant :(
18 Sep 10 - wedding!
Mar 12 - half marathon in Paris! 1:47:12!
Oct 12 - Amsterdam FULL marathon! 3:48:23!

Yes, this! My DH mentioned turning the heat on and I told him we can't because it's only the middle of August!  ;D

DS's flight is delayed by NINE hours. Nine. This means my brother will have to collect him at 3.00am!

Craiglisters. I've been stood up now twice by two different people. This desk is taking up too much room in my apt. I just want it gone.

Tell me about it.

To put it into context, just last night I realised that the boy's passport had expired (I have now officially joined the rubbish parent group) so we were up before the crack of dawn to get to the embassy for a temporary passport.

The one point of light today was that we saw Jeremy Clarkson lurking around the embassy, waiting for it to open. He looked really crabby, which made my morning!

Are you selling it or just trying to get it gone? 'Cause if you just want it gone, have someone help you drag it out to the curb, put a "free" sign on it, and make a post on freecycle.

That's exactly why.  >:( His favourite thing at the minute is Scooby Doo, though, so it's not like he always picks this stuff up from me (he actually mostly picked it up from DH who calls him dude a lot). Anyway, I always thought it was so cute the way he used to call me a crazy dude when I did something silly. Now, even after we said it was okay to say dude at our house, he whispered, "I don't want to say dude anymore" and looked all sad.  :\\\'( I hate the way she plays mind games and stuff with him, especially when it comes down to things like this, just because she doesn't like me.  >:(

I say dude all the time at the moment!  :P

Seems to be an odd priority / value to me.  ::)
