Awww Jewlz, I just wanna barrel down south and give you a great big vat of margaritas, and a good shoulder to cry on!   (((hugs)))
And don't feel bad about FIL and your parents, the stress you guys are under is huge.  You need to look after you first and everyone else can come later.  :)

8.45 last night our phone rang. It was the alarm company for my husbands shop...the alarm was going off and no other member of management had bothered to answer their phone...so DH ended up going into the shop (which is about an hour away) to take care of it...he didn't get home until 10.45pm.

1.20am this morning, our phone rang...It was the alarm company...no one else answered their phone, so they called us...so DH ended up going BACK into the shop to take care of the alarm...he didn't get home until 3.30am.

6.30am this morning, DD woke up...I got up with her and 5 minutes later DH was up as well.

7am this morning...DH left for work, he has to be there at 8 am...I'm worried sick because he's had no sleep and has to drive all that way, work another 12 hours because no one else can be bothered to do any work there...on top of the nearly 70 hours he's put in this week!

I am just so angry (and exhausted) right now I could scream.

What a nightmare!  >:( I don't know how he copes!  :-X :-\\\\

Thanks for all the sympathies, everyone. Things are looking up slightly and FIL wasn't even mad at me yelling at him, he gave me fresh eggs and vegetables from his garden and my MIL brought me flowers yesterday!  :D My thumb still hurts like hell, so that's my IA, but at least it has improved since yesterday.

the handle on my oven door came off *again* in the middle of cooking dinner. hubby's re-super glued it... We'll see how long it lasts this time.

and hubby went out last night with a friend and had many a pint (no issue there, I was happy to have the house to myself) but he wouldn't listen to me when I told him to drink lots of water before he came to bed. Now he's moaning about how hungover he is and how like crap he feels, and if he'd just listened to me he'd be fine.

Went to Blakemere craft centre today with DH. Wish we hadn't. Wasn't our sort of thing, really, think it's more for people with small children. Thought it was going to be a great day out and instead-after driving miles and miles away-we ended up sitting in the carpark trying to sort out some where else to go.  :-X

Chose a second place, Dorfield Hall, just from the map. Drove past the place...only to find the gates were shut. Drove on.  ::)

In the end, had lunch in a car park near our house, in the pouring rain. We didn't want to go home immediately, because of the chaos we'd caused the in laws getting out in the first place.  :-X

Ended up just going into town and picking up my new glasses from Spec Savers. At least that worked! Came home and did laundry. Oh well, at least we'll try Blackpool on Monday! ;D

Oh!  You should go there (Blackpool) between Sept 3 - Nov 7, which is when they'll have the Illuminations switched on!  And report back here (or on Travel).  :)

Weather is a bit crap today, isn't it?  I thought it was going to be nicer too.

:-[ We would do if, where we live was safer to come back to at night. I don't really fancy coming back off the train and going thru the train station after 5pm. And I think MiL/FiL would be none too happy about it, either. :P Yeah, the weather was pretty horrid, but, I'm just glad that we went out anyway!

You live in an unsafe area?  That sucks!  :-\\\\  I wouldn't like feeling trapped - I never feel unsafe here, not in Leeds city centre, not where we live either.

Our weather has been all over the place today!  Sunny, windy, a bit of rain, repeat...  Trying to get our mattress cover dry on the clothesline right now (so I can make up the bed fresh for tonight).  It showered a bit, then stopped, then the wind whipped up again - I think it'll get dry.  :P

When I was hanging out the laundry this morning I noticed a half of a bloody (literally) hedgehog  in the middle of the garden.   :\\\'(

Bloody (figuratively) foxes!!!

Jobs in my field that I can't apply for because of my visa, but am totally qualified for.  :( At least there are some cropping up, though.  Maybe there will be something after I apply for my new one in December.

feeling overwhelmed
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon
