I would have been just fine with spending my days at the British library, writing essays, but now I must find a flat, do viewings, and move  :-\\\\

I feel for you! I hate flat-hunting.

Been called in for a meeting with HR tomorrow. Looks like the doom meeting. I was hoping we'd last through xmas.

:( Perhaps Seattle, Canada, Australia, or Guilford (was that the name?) are calling.

Arg. Didn't make it to lecture this morning because the bus I flagged to stop just drove past me. Managed to make it to seminar but was wearing my sweatpants because my other clothes are still drying. Found out that since the other girls are leaving the house so soon that me and my friend are expected to move out as well just days after end of term instead of a couple of weeks. No say on how much I'm getting back from the landlord. My other friend is being flaky about the whole thing and is bailing out on us AGAIN! It's 9:30 now and I need to go to the shop to go buy toilet paper even though I've been out all day while the other girls were home since we finished uni.

Gosh, it's just happy holidays for everyone isn't it??

My newest IA: Christmas shopping for a 90 year old.  Thank you for the gift suggestions grandpa, but an argyle sweater isn't much to go on, and if you can't get it on Amazon, then I probably can't send it to you for Christmas!   :-[

This is becoming a daily IA:

There's a girl who gets on the train a stop after me, goes straight for the toilet and stays in there for the 40-minute duration of the train journey. I can empathise that the train is overpacked and a bit of personal space is nice, but there are days when it's not packed and she still goes straight for it. I've suffered from IBS most my life and feel more relaxed when I know there's a toilet nearby, but with her occupying it for my entire journey, it makes my anxiety even worse.  :-\\\\
I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.' Kurt Vonnegut

I think that is very strange behavior.  Also extremely selfish.  >:(

This is weird. I assume she is putting on makeup or something similar?  Or is she just strange.   ;D

Do you have a guard on your train?  I would probably mention that she spends every morning in there.  I am sure that is against some health and safety rule!

my advice:

next time you're on the train, just before you get to that stop, head straight for the toilet, so it's occupied when she gets on.  Just to see what she does.

If I were in a horribly scatalogical mood I'd suggest not flushing, or in some other way boobytrapping the toilet.

The people who have bought the house next door but one and have been undertaking massive additions and renovations for over a year, have now put up a big ugly fence along the front. No doubt it will obstruct my view of oncoming traffic when I try to back out onto a busy street!  :( It's what my mother would have called a "spite fence"

After eating loads of  rich, heavy, Thanksgiving food and sweets last weekend - whole grains, salads and fruits and lean proteins - i.e. stuff I normally eat are just not filling me up!!!  I hate when that happens :-\\\\

Does that happen to anyone else? Or I am I still just weird  ???

Last one left, turn out the lights.

It's all supposed to be a big secret and we're not supposed to tell anyone, which means I can't even get to say goodbye.
