All 3 grocery stores in my area (Tesco, Sainsbury's and SuperValu) have stopped stocking the Kikkoman marinade in the last month  :(

None of the stores have store brand alternatives either.

Hiya, I was frustrated too when Kikkoman soy sauce went missing from the shelves at Tesco, Morrisons, Co op and researched it on line. I went to the official kikkoman site and there is a campaign to get it restocked  http://www.kikkoman.co.uk/home/bring_back.shtml
if enough customers request it thru their site, it might be brought back. As an alternate, we searched into some small Asian markets and they carry the big 1 litre bottles of kikkoman. Less than a fiver as well. Hope its back on local shop shelves soon.

I just bought some but haven't tried them yet.  I was in London yesterday and went to Whole Foods and they had tomatillos, so I am happy.

Fresh tomatillos or tinned? Either way... yahooo! mmmm salsa verde!

If you don't feel like making your own salsa verde, I found some the other day in a deli/farm shop! It's this stuff and is made in Cornwall, but the woman who runs the company is Mexican. You can order online.  :)

I just wanted to say that I found Kraft Macaroni and Cheese dinners at Asda yesterday! Maybe this is old news, but it did say 'NEW' next to the price and I've never seen them there before. I'm not sure if only my local Asda has them or if all of them do but I just wanted to pass that along. I was ecstatic to find them there. They were only £1 each and they were in the same aisle with 'world foods.'

I seem to recall seeing Kikkoman stocked in Waitrose.

I wanted to update.  They didn't have any Kikkoman Teriyaki at the Waitrose where I live.  But they did have their own store brand version "Cooks' Ingredients GLAZE WITH THE TERIYAKI SAUCE" (underlining theirs not mine).  Contrary to its title, it was thin marinade like Kikkoman and not thick glaze.  It didn't taste exactly the same but was very similar and just as good!   :)

Pumpkin puree alert!

If you live in a postcode that's covered by Waitrose Deliver (which is limited, I understand), you can check if there is pumpkin puree in your local store/available for delivery.  It came up on mine but as the stock is based on your local store, not everyone will be as lucky.  For some reason it's titled "Paula pumpkin puree" even though the photo is clearly Libby's.  Haven't checked Ocado which is different supplies.  Worth checking out, especially if you live in a metropolitan area.

We've seen them in the Huddersfield store, DW finds it amusing that they are with the "ethnic foods"!

Just in case anyone is craving some ranch dressing:  I almost peed my pants over the weekend when I discovered none other than Hidden Valley Ranch dressing at Longacres Nursery in Bagshot!  I cant wait to dip things in it :)

In Hammersmith/brook green the international food aisle seemed to have lots of american stuff, including

Tropical  Punch or Strawberry  Koolaid
Cream of Wheat
Canned black beans
Different types of tortillas
Different grades of cornmeal
Big tubs of french fried onions

um...it did have other stuff but that's what I bought for the boy. I'll check next tme I go.

And lots of other good stuff, loads of different soy sauces and sambals, jerk seasoning and those mixes for covering fried chicken, much better than a normal tesco international food aisle - had loads of things from my childhood (asian mother) like White rabbit rice sweets :D

I've started making a list of things I want. I guess I know what Mom will be mailing me for Christmas. :D

However, I've been trying to find a store in Manchester that stocks American goods and I'm coming up short. Anyone know of one?
