How exciting, Andrea!!! I bet you have a tons of reasons to look forward to September now. =) I haven't been thinking too much about it, since my SO is flying to the US for the first time in his (adult) life, in the end of june! This splits my countdown into two manageable packets of 6 fridays each. ;P What are you most looking forward to in living in Manchester?

Well, besides doing my library course (which I'm definitely ridiculously excited about)  I'm looking forward to living in the city.  I've always been a city girl at heart but I've been living in a small town for the last four years- visiting Manchester last week got me really excited about it :)

Hehe....I'm still jet lagged so I've been up since about 5am! I'm hoping using my real name will curb the itch I get to change usernames every few months or so...we'll see :P

I know what you mean...not only am I insanely excited to see my boyfriend again & starting my Master's course, but I can't wait to get back to the area i know and love!  I won't be living in Kingston again, but very close to it, so I can still visit my old hangouts quite easily.  I'm really excited about just going to the Town Center and taking in all the familiar places.  (plans are to live in Twickenham right now, which is just a bus-ride away!)

After meeting with my boss on Friday and thinking about how little I've accomplished this past month (we have reports due on 1st of every month), I'm starting to think that maybe there isn't enough time left before I go!  Not really - but I just realized that I only have two months left to wrap up my research and then a month to write.  Thank God I don't have to defend for this thesis.  Three and a half months is an eternity to be away from my husband, but it is a minuscule amount of time when it comes to work.  It feels good to think about it that way.   :)

The holiday weekend is over and it is almost June!  In the Ebb and Flow of LDR I am definately in Flow mode right now, the past few days seemed to being moving at a nice clip.

Does anyone have anything they are looking forward to this week?  I've got a birthday part on Thursday night and we are going to put the vegetable garden in next weekend.

I have a surprise party for my dad's birthday this Saturday :)  His birthday isn't until the 6th, but it was easier for both of my sisters to get back to town for this weekend.  A few of my aunts and uncles that he hasn't been able to visit with for around 10 years were also going to come, but they ended up not being able to make it.  :(

Still!  We're going out for Mexican food, and it'll be fun because a few of his friends are going to be able to make it.  Yay!

After that, I am looking forward to a couple of friends coming to visit me on the weekend of the 23rd.  So June should hopefully fly by pretty quickly for me!

Driving to visit friends in MD this weekend... then apparently my birthday is two weeks after that? And then my SO flies here two weeks after that (a month from today!)... so I need to find a way to fill in those two week gaps. ;P

;D That's GREAT!!!!

I'm in an EBB  :\\\'(  and I need to vent....
We have barely spoken in the last two weeks.  So much is going on in our own individual worlds and we can't share.  He's so stressed with his work and I can hear how exhausted he is in his voice.  We snap constantly at each other.  I HATE IT!!!!  I'm still keeping my fingers crossed at him coming over at the end of June beginning of July - but it's day to day.  We haven't even discussed my trip over in August for his friends wedding!!  I know this whole work thing will benefit us in the long run - but I miss my boyfriend!!!!

Looking forward to...I'm volunteering at a 10K race this weekend and training for my own 10K on June 25th.

mekaw -    [smiley=hug.gif] Is the stress at work permanent?  Or will it let up after he finishes a project or something?  Just remember that the flow always seems to follow the ebb.  Give it time - you guys will make it.  I hope that he gets over in June.

I said big finger to the EBB and she got the hint.....But the flow will begin for you I am sure of it mekaw...

My df and I def snap at each other...then usually giggle because we sound ridiculous.

I will be praying for you that some of the stress let's up.

mekaw, I feel ya' with the lack of communication.  My bf's computer BROKE, so he's currently without internet access at home.  The only way he can get on is to hike to uni and use their computers.  He only gets there about twice a week for the occasional e-mail, which is not enough for me >:(.  He's always been bad about making real effort outside of logging into Skype, and now that he doesn't have that, it's hard.  We both only have mobiles (no land line), so calling is also hard because it's super-expensive - that and I get tired of being the one to phone all the time!

EBB now, but I'll breathe a sigh of relief when he moves back home in late June and can get on the internet again (and get his computer fixed!).
