LOL, mine do that!

They obviously did not live with someone who would threaten to tape photos of the money across from the loo until I could recognize each coin on sight.  :)
(She'd have done it, too.)

2.  HAWAIIAN PUNCH has happened!!  Thanks, Amazon!

I need to know more, please.  Who did you order from?  Link?  (Make it an associate link, earn some money from it.  I don't care!)

Oh my Friday again!

1. I survived my first week of work. Barely, but I did.

2. I grateful for the gas mileage on our car. I've filled it once since we got it!

3. I truly learned the value of my pain medication. I saved 4 when I learned the NHS wouldn't refill them. I took one last night and my arms weren't numb today and I don't want to run and hide every 10 minutes from the pain making everything else overwhelming. Treating it at night so I sleep soundly is essential.

4. My kitty misses me. She's been running to my husband all week for attention during the day.

5. I am so glad it's Friday. Going to put up my feet, put together/clean the new to us grill and relax!

That is the Amazon Grocery listing for it.  I searched for it in "all departments" and found it.  I thought you got "real" Hawaiian Punch, though; not the artificially-sweetened powder.  Now I'm conflicted, as I avoid artificial sweeteners in the off chance that they do cause heart arrhythmia (my heart's struggling enough as it is!).  But this could be a rare treat, right?

My reason for wanting Hawaiian Punch is for a mixed drink.  Roughly:

  • 2 parts Hawaiian Punch
  • 1 part sour mix (more or less to taste)
  • 1 part white rum
  • serve over ice

It is dangerously drinkable, especially through a straw. Originally, my recipe included Mountain Dew, but I decided it wasn't really necessary (which is good because you can't get proper Mountain Dew over here, anyway!).  But you could maybe add a bit of sparkling lemonade for fizz if you want, though that all seems to have artificial sweeteners in it, too, these days.

I will invoke the decision bot:

!decide: buy the Hawaiian Punch packets, don't buy the Hawaiian Punch packets

Yeah, it was seriously the same. Great minds  ;) :D   I think it was the alcohol and the sugar overload. Brutal.   As an adult though, I'm sure you'd be sensible and not try and chug the entire punch bowl......

I'd like to say I'd be sensible, but it is so very drinkable, and it's been so hot out... Y'know?

I was originally searching for Crystal Light, and the HP came up in that search.

I was originally searching for Crystal Light, and the HP came up in that search.

I drank hella NutraSweet-infused Kool-Aid and Crystal Light in the mid-80s, but I was warned off by my GP in about 2005 over arrhythmia concerns.  I think the research at the time was brand new, and only correlative.  And now the link seems unsupported.  But the warning has left me spooked.  I mean, I grew up being served margarine and now it looks like real butter was the safe choice all along.  I don't want to be on the wrong side of the sugar/sweetener question when I can just be sensible about my refined sugar intake and enjoy life.  BUUUUuuuut... an occasional drink here and there for old time's sake probably won't kill me.  :)
