Of COURSE you were a depressed patient!  Anyone who is in pain or knows something isn't right with their body and isn't getting any answers would be depressed!  Don't let that get you down.  :)

Took the words right out of my mouth.
My, how time flies....

Checked with the trainer, and none of the guys in training have American accents!
The plot is thickening and pointing toward the guy who never speaks and rudely ignores people who say hello to him....

OMG!!!  IT *IS* THAT GUY!!!
Just heard him on the phone and he does have some sort of North American accent!  :o  :o
Why is he being such a dick to his colleagues who are just trying to be polite??

The car should have a service dog where it says exactly what is needed at each service.

If you read your post like I did (see above), it is really confusing.  I know what a service dog is, but I was trying to figure out why there would be one ONLY for in the car, and how it would communicate what was needed...   ???

Or like he has to be a jerk first before somebody can be a jerk to him?

I cannot NOT laugh out loud at that. hahahah

I find it really hard to buy that as a valid excuse, for him or anyone else.
He's a grown adult, and no one is asking to have his babies or be the beneficiary of his will... we are just saying hello and looking for a hello back.

Yikes :(

I got very confused with "you OK?" as a standard greeting, but I always said hello. That's just weird. Maybe he's had some bad experiences and is still antisocial from them? I know my current environment is flaring my PTSD and it will be a challenge to go to future interviews/jobs and not have it tarnished by it.

I always tell people about how it might sound odd when you don't live here, but the only appropriate response for "you alright?" is another "you alright?" haha

I've worked with people who I've been ignored by. I used to make it a sport to try to get a reaction out of them!   :)

3.  In a real quandary on what to do with the rental house.  Do we sell or keep it?  I think we are starting to lean towards keeping it and figuring out another way to finance our extension.

I came across this article this morning and immediately thought about your quandary.  I'm not sure how this should be factored in.  I think I'd lean toward riding it out.  If your income is secure and you can afford the mortgage, hold on to the house and weather the storm.  If there is one.

Ah, yes.  I saw the same article.

I think we are going to continue renting for now.  Fingers crossed we get a great LONG LONG LONG term tenant in.  ;D

I can’t do any of that, but even I can get the service light off.   ;D
I can't believe you guys are giving me a hard time about this.  I always take my car in for services because I have no room for working on the car, no space for tools and if I started changing oil, the neighbours would call the cops on me.

If you were my neighbour, my husband would phone to have you sectioned for NOT saving money doing your own oil changes :p
